1) INVASION The ships just appeared in the sky and started bombing major cities! or: The invasion has been going on for a few hours, days, weeks, whatever it is, the people of Earth have begun to fight back.

2) INFILTRATION Aliens are quietly infiltrating society. They could be replacing humans with shapeshifted aliens, brainwashing humans, sending androids among people, or any number of other means.

3) KIDNAPPING You were abducted by aliens for some kind of experimentation or interrogation. Hopefully you don't know much about Earth's defenses.

4) ACQUISITION The aliens look upon all Earth creatures as dumb animals, so you've been picked up as part of their collection or zoo exhibit.

5) LIBERATION It turns out that you were actually an alien all along and now your implanted memories have been removed. Are you going to rejoin your race or defect and stay on Earth?

6) TURNCOAT You're voluntarily an alien spy and now that your overlords have arrived it's time to help them out.

7) SCORCHED EARTH Maybe the aliens have decided humanity isn't worth living. Or maybe they're going to clear the planet to prepare it for their colonization. Either way, it's getting very apocalyptic and unpleasant down here on the planet.

8) TURNABOUT Actually, you're the aliens. This wasn't originally your planet, and the real natives are unhappy.

9) ALIEN ALLY You're an alien, yes, but not one of the invaders. It's time to help humanity drive them off!
