[He laughs--maybe it's a laugh. A more apt description would be a not-very-nice noise in the back of his throat that could have been a laugh at some point, but somewhere along the way he forgot how laughs are supposed to sound. What burns him up the most is that there are so many things he can't voice without giving himself away, or at least, letting on that he knows more than he should. Every death of an ex-agent was something he had the potential to prevent.

The fact that this situation exists in the first place is at least partially his fault, and that burns him up, too.

Revenge feels like all that puts one foot in front of the other anymore, and the blind rage that spurs him onward overtakes him quickly these days. The infuriatingly casual way that Reaper talks about killing old Overwatch members drives him right over the edge. In one fluid motion, he raises his rifle and lashes out with it, aiming to slam his hostage right in the back of the head.
