hurt/comfort smut;

Bruised. Beaten. Stabbed. Sapped of energy. Tricked. Mentally played and abused. Perhaps you've even seen your home world destroyed, depending on how Homestuck you are. Any way you slice it, characters go through a lot of crap.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to see them get pampered and taken care of when they're ailing. In canon, they may not have someone who can provide them with care when they're injured, support and love when they're sick, and physical intimacy all around. In this post, AU or other scenarios can provide them with a caretaking partner of their very own (or, maybe, someone to take care of, if the reverse is their preference). So, for once, weary traveler, you don't have to carry that weight all by yourself.

to bring you out of the darkness;

The injury may not be a temporary physical or mental one, however. Some characters suffer more deeply, even if they don't know it. Darkness covers their hearts, they're withdrawn, insecure, angry, or lonely. They need someone to reach out to them and show them unconditional love.

This post can provide that, too.

Whether it be the cliche and shameless "changed by your love" trope or something more subtle like getting someone to open up, the characters here can offer that and more. All are welcome, they just have to take that first step.

((Can play either role. Coulson's generally calm demeanor can be good for the comforter. And his role in recent AoS episodes also puts him in a position where he needs to be comforted.

((Idea - Coulson getting stuck in the woods somewhere, finally finding a cabin to hole up in and wait for rescue, only to discover a heavily injured Winter Captain passed out on the floor?))

Finding the cabin in the woods is a godsend. Coulson has been on the run from HYDRA after his latest attempt at bombing one of their many facilities. SHIELD may be gone but the fight is far from over.

He is cautious about entering the cabin, scouring the surroundings first to make sure this isn't an elaborate trap. The last thing he expects to find is a bleeding and unconscious man. And his first instinct is to approach and immediately check for a pulse, which brings him to his next surprise.

The HYDRA garb on the face of one Steve Rogers.

"...no." the rumors can't be true. He refuses to believe it. But here they are. It takes him several long seconds to properly react again. He shrugs the pack off his back and rummages around inside. He has some first aid supplies left. And a gun. Enemy or no. He's not about to let Captain America on the floor.

The wounds don't heal. There's something in the bullets they fired at him that leaves the wounds gaping and bleeding, his vision bluring as he stumbles away from the Hydra base. He can lift the motorcycle he drove out here from the crowd, and his arms are like noodles as he flees, feeling the blood coat the leather seat underneath him.

It's left in a smoking heap at the end of the trail that leads up to the cabin.

The door's unlocked, but his hands shake ob the grip, and it's all he can do to kick it closed before the floor swings up to meet him, and the blackness takes over his vision.

He groans as he feels someone touch his shoulder, the air around his face feeling as oppressive as a wet blanket, difficult to breath, blood on his clothes and on the carpet underneath his prone body.

[Either role, but I'd love to play something out where Karen is the one being hurt/comforted. She's been drinking more than usual and could easily have had an accident as a result, and probably needs the comfort with recent events in her canon.]

Weller was out just to grab a bite to eat, maybe a drink. He had no immediate plan but what he hadn't expected was to run into an intoxicated Karen who had just punched a wall in frustration in front of him. He went over to her then and took her hand to check it.

"Hey leave some wall for other people."
