3, 18, 7, uhh yeah lots

[ Nightmares are hardly anything new for him. The world isn't what Steve used to know it as, and he's getting a little tired of "new". When someone sees as much as Steve has, it doesn't just leave you be when your eyes close at night. It comes in the dark, it comes in the space between breaths, and eyes moving under closed lids.

But new isn't always awful. Here, in Stark Tower, where he visits from time to time, new can be good. Like getting a crash course in movies he's missed while he was down for the count. Somewhere between Terminator and getting into Alien, Tony fell asleep. And while Steve's attention is on the movie, he's not deaf or dumb to the tension that starts to build in the other man's formerly relaxed posture. He casts a glance over to Stark as his breath quickens, eyes darting under the lids, and fingers twitching in abortive gestures.

Steve shifts slowly, grabbing for the remote to turn the movie down a bit, sets it on the coffee table in front of the couch they are on, and reaches over to place a steady hand on Tony's shoulder. ]

Stark? [ A calm, even tone because he doesn't want to startle him into wakefulness if he doesn't have to. Dreams can be disorienting enough, nightmares even more so. ] Tony, hey. I need you to wake up.
