"Hm?" Basil looks up, just remembering the presence of another being. "Oh, not human cases, no. But they tie in with the cases I am currently investigating. This human was the pet of the sole eye witness to one of them, which is what drew my attention." He gives a gesture implying that obviously that was the situation here.
