tamely: (nursing a drink)

[There was always an event at the Gray Estate every week if not everyday. Ethan had quickly grown accustomed to the loud and frivolous and extravagant parties during his stay there whether they be of the sexual nature or simply formal, for the most part. You never knew with Dorian. In fact, Ethan had come to like it better than the all too peaceful and quiet of Malcolm's estate and the pub he'd been staying at before.

The place had a life of its own, even if it was Dorian breathing his own life into the parties, an eerie quality to it. Ethan still didn't know what it was, or why Mr. Gray seemed so...different. Different from different, actually.

No matter. He's given up on it some time ago, and besides, he's been utterly captivated when he noticed Dorian staring at him from across the long dinner table after feeling someone watching him, making the hairs on his nape stand.

Ethan's smirk was warm and soft, his slightly narrowed eyes giving a hint of darkness as he raised a glass to Dorian and took a sip from it. He still didn't understand why they had to sit so far away from one another. Maybe it was all Dorian's plan to make Ethan desire him more strongly than usual. It was working to say the least, because while Ethan kept conversation going on his end, he'd always find himself watching Dorian for lengthy periods of time before giving his attention back to those around him.

Not this time. He signaled one of the wait staff over after penning something down on a scrap piece of parchment, folded it, and then handed it to the gentleman.]
Would you mind giving this to Mr. Gray?

[The waiter journeyed down the long line of the table to deliver the message, inside the folded parchment read: It's my turn to torture you. Meanwhile, Ethan watched, a thumb skimming across his lower lip as his gaze suddenly became hungry and lustful.]
