[Chara kicked their feet off the edge of their bed as they stared at the floor. They turn their head towards the window when they hear their name being called. They hurry over and peek out to wave at Sans before turning around to head outside. They pat down a few stray hairs as they hurry outside. What adventures would be had today? What sort of trouble could they cause?]

[Somewhere along the line Frisk started trusting their tagalong. To some extent. Mostly. Partially.

Or at least just got used to the idea that Chara will always be there. Sharing the body wasn't so bad, as long as Chara wasn't allowed to make decisions. Commentary, sure.

Today Frisk is taking extra long to get started with the day, sitting in front of the mirror, looking at the double reflection. The almost twin-like similarities between them. They touch the glass on the side Chara is on, and then pull the hand away.]

We haven't talked just us in awhile.

[They watched Frisk's expression through the reflection with silent curiosity. They shift their gaze from the glass to the other when they reach out towards the mirror. It's still just you, Frisk.. ]

I'm afraid there's not much to talk about... Unless you've got something on your mind?

[Or rather there's not much they were willing to share about themselves. They figured that Frisk had gathered plenty of information about them from the monsters and other items they'd come across.] </small]

[That silent staring should be more unsettling than it is, Frisk tells themself. Chara's eyes... but Frisk understands being conservative with words.

There has to be something more to Chara than the damage they've caused. Even beyond the fiasco with Asriel and the surface. Frisk is curious and caring by nature and wants to understand. If they're going to... care.... despite their better judgement, they should at least know who it is they're caring about.]

Maybe not...

[Hard to talk when you share a body and to some extent a mind. There is something on Frisk's mind, though. Maybe Chara can sense it, maybe not.]

[They fidget as they look away. They can sense something, but they can't quite decipher what it is. It was rather frustrating being stuck with Frisk and still not knowing how to comprehend why they do some of the things they do.]

I don't know what you'd like me to say...

[Not since Frisk knows how they really are anyway. No use in trying to pretend they mean well or trying to justify what they've tried to do. They look down at the ground before returning their gaze to the mirror.]

Staring at this mirror... it fills you with determination.

[They shift their gaze to Frisk's reflection with a faint smile. Is that what you want to hear?]

[Frisk has all the patience they need. Fidget all you like, they can wait.

Now it's Frisk's turn to stare silently. It's comforting, in a way, to see Chara doing something so normal and emotional as looking unsure. They are both a bit of a mystery to each other, and there's still humanity left in Chara, Frisk just knows it.

A shrug in response. Frisk doesn't know what they want you to say either. Heh, but that... It does make their shoulders shake with a chuckle. It brings back nostalgia for their grand adventure, for when... when Frisk still didn't know how destructive Chara's influence could be.

The laughter fades into a semi-serious face. Not that Frisk could totally lineface at a smiling Chara. That isn't quite it, though. That's just more Playing Narrator.]
