I. BAD ROMANCE

01. IT'S TOO LATE TO APOLOGIZE. You had a fight and now your lover isn't sure they want to even hear your apologies.
02. HURT/COMFORT. You or your lover is in pain, physically or mentally, and needs to be comforted.
03. SECOND BEST. No matter what your lover says, you feel like they're only settling for you like a second choice.
04. CHEATED. You've seen all the signs; lipstick on the collar, scratches down the back, hickeys you didn't leave behind. Do you want to keep ignoring it or finally confront them?
05. KEEP ME FROM FALLING. Your lover is being discouraged from seeking any sort of relationship with you and it's definitely a strain.
06. BUT HOW DO I KNOW... You love your partner so much, but you're uncertain just how they feel about you.
07. JUST NOT FEELING THE SPARK... That spark in he bedroom seems to be gone, so how are you going to deal?

18. GOING TO MAKE YOU HURT. You know you're no good for your lover and in the end, you're going to make them hurt.

III. HOW CAN I EXIST WITHOUT YOU?

01. YOU WOULDN'T WANT ME TO HAVE TO HURT YOU TOO... The object of your love/lust is resisting your advances, so it's time to take what you want.
02. JEALOUSY. It's jealousy to the extreme. You're going to make damn sure your lover knows how you feel about them seeing other people.
03. INCEST IS BEST. You know it's wrong, all kinds of sinful, but you can't resist the draw. If characters aren't related, then they are now! Or at least it feels very close to incest anyway.
04. YOU'RE NEVER GONNA GET FAR. You love that person so much, you've made sure they can't get away - by physically tying them down or by some other emotional or mental means.
05. I'LL MAKE YOU HURT. You've set it up to make sure your lover catches you cheating or doing something else hurtful just for that reason. You want to make them suffer.
06. CHAINS AND WHIPS EXCITE ME. You're both taking sex to extremes.
07. BROKEN. Your lover has utterly broken you and you need them to know.
08. SECRECY. You're embarrassed by your lover, utterly embarrassed. If they weren't useful in some way (even if it's just in bed!), you wouldn't even be with them.
09. YOU'RE MY LAST CHOICE. You don't really love the person you're with, but they're all you could snatch up and it's no secret to either of you.
10. FORCED TOGETHER. You don' love each other, but you have no choice but to be together due to outside influences. Alternatively, you've been captured and are now being forced to make a sex video even if you don't want to.
11. WATCH HOW I DO IT. You were just forced to watch your lover have sex with someone else (willingly or not) or beaten and now you've got to deal with the aftermath.
12. IF YOU ONLY KNEW. You're not who your lover thinks or you've got a lot of deep dark secrets that, if they only knew, they'd hate you forever.
13. NOT WHO I WAS. Maybe your lover was replaced with a pod person or they're under brainwash or something, but you know they're not who they were.
14. LOVE POTION XXX. You couldn't resist it anymore. You needed your lover, so you've drugged them into loving and wanting you too.
15. THREATS. This person isn't with you willingly. They're only putting up with you because you've threatened them into doing so.
16. FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT.
17. NOT GOING TO SAVE YOU. Your lover is on the brink and you're just going to watch them fall. You don't care anymore.
18. HATE YOU. You need your lover to know how exactly much you hate them. You can't even touch them without your skin crawling.
19. BETRAYAL. You've betrayed your lover in some huge way and you don't care that they've found out.

[ Going into this council, Arven never expected things to end well. No one's happy with anything even though his whole life has been changed by the events just a small handful of years ago. There's still heavy talks of the Inquisition being disbanded and he's of mind to agree just to shut up both Ferelden and Orlais. He's tired, he's in pain, he's fed up with politics, and it's just all becoming too much.

So, of course things go tits up.

There's quanri in battle armor, there's gaatlok, there's eluvians, there's ancient elven things. And once again the dread Inquisitor has to save the day because no-fucking-body else will do it. Each fight is difficult, the enemy strong and fierce, and there's too much about Arven's heritage floating around to make his head spin. His mind circles around Evanuris and he can't let it go. Not to mention the anchor on his hand has decided insanity is the way to go and burns up his skin, his blood, his bones with the power forcing its way out. What's left of his life is falling apart and he doesn't know if he'll come back from this one.

As if things couldn't possibly make it to the worst tier of all, they do. They breach the Darvaarad and he's betrayed by someone he trusted. Naturally, he should have seen that coming, but his mind had been too occupied. He doesn't dwell on it, he uses it as a means to fuel his ire, even though he knows that lends towards him making mistakes. He can feel himself slipping back to how he used to be, and he's getting to the point that he almost doesn't care. What does it matter? He doubts he'll make it out of this whole fiasco alive.

Still, he pushes on because this will reach an end. He may not want to be the Inquisitor any longer, but he'll close this chapter and save the damned world all over again. Then every last squabbling noble can kindly go fuck themselves. They eventually defeat the remaining qunari and finish off the saarebas—though it was extremely hard won. Arven is positive he never wants to face another qunari mage again. But, it's not over yet. He chases Viddasala through the eluvian and finds himself... oddly alone. His companions didn't follow, which he finds strange. Stranger still when he looks at his surroundings, there are stone qunari all around. It's eerie and causes the hair to rise at the nape of his neck.

There's a commotion and he races toward the voices—one he recognizes and it makes his rage spike that his vision nearly shakes with it. He arrives in time to see Viddasala turned to stone like her brethren and there, amidst it all, is the traitor. Arven's lip curls in disgust and outrage, the anger and fury pouring out of him. The mark flares as he attempts to lash out, burning hot and bright, and he knows it was done on purpose. There's nothing he can do. A snake had been in their midst all along and his plans align perfectly with Corypheus, though his pride blinds him to that fact. The pain begins to slowly recede and Arven doesn't need to look down to see what's happening.

Somehow, eventually, he's able to stumble through the eluvian and the pathway has changed. He trips into Halamshiral, beaten, broken, and withered. His knees crack against the floor and he barely has time to catch himself with his right hand before his face follows suit. His armor is in tatters, dirt and blood streak his skin and stand stark in his sporadically matted hair. When he swallows, all he can taste is ash and dirt and bitterness. Arven's entire body violently shakes and he heaves, but nothing happens. Unshed tears blur his vision, but he refuses to let them fall.

At his commotion, the guards came around the corner, but stopped in their tracks. One curses, calls on the Maker and the other shoves him, barking the order to get the Commander now and don't delay. Guard gone, the other takes a hesitant step closer and Arven lifts his head, near snarling to be left alone. The man hesitates, but he, too, leaves, though goes no further than the door. Once by himself, Arven shifts back on his haunches and stares straight ahead, part of him wishing he'd just died instead. ]

She'd promised her a kidnapping, and a kidnapping she would have. It was the day after Christmas when she'd come. The chloroform had been carefully applied to make sure that Naoto stayed unconscious while she was being abducted. When she'd woken up, she was lying in a comfortable little futon in a strange room. It was warm, and through the window heavy snows could be seen being cleared.

They had just barely beaten the snows to reach this onsen, it seemed, and they were going to be going nowhere anytime soon.

Seated there, looking out the window, was Chloe, dressed in a simple little winter kimono. She didn't often put on clothes like those, but it seemed all too appropriate right now. When in an onsen, why not dress like one was in an onsen. She half turned, a little smile on her lips at the first sounds of stirring, but saying nothing.

Naoto was only slightly startled by the chloroform, but after waking up in a comfortable futon in a warm room instead of a cold floor in a foggy lap, she couldn't help but smile. She had wanted to be kidnapped, and really, there was a large thrill in knowing that she had no idea where she actually was.

Sitting up slowly, the fog of the chloroform wearing off, her smile grows a bit. "Hello, Chloe. This place looks lovely."

Chloe turned towards her, shifting so that the silk slipped up with the raising of a knee, exposing just a bit of the skin above her socks. She rested her arm there and grinned back at Naoto with that usual little bit of impishness there. "It seems that I did a better job than expected. The snow has us buried here for quite a while," she said.

"I have you all to myself. We can call the world if the snow's still blocking the roads when the time is up," she added, privately wishing she could just keep Naoto right up until her classes resumed. It was supposed to be a nasty year for the snows after all. At least the onsen itself was still heated from below.

"Oh, dear. What are we to do." There's a smirky smile on Naoto's face, as her eyes wander to Chloe's knee, obviously appreciating what she sees underneath the kimono. It had been a while since she had been able to spend an extended time with her lover, and she was certainly looking forward to it.

"The world can wait. We certainly wouldn't want to go out in possibly dangerous conditions." The thought of being snowed in here, with Chloe, for an extended period of time is extremely tantalizing. She smiles a bit. "I really do not think we will run out of things to do."
