It wasn't so unfortunate a day that Lydia didn't want to leave the house; it wasn't one of those horrible, freezing winter days that psyches you into thinking it's nice just because the sun's out. In fact, it was almost downright balmy, considering. The snow wasn't quite melting, but it was just at that perfect point where it stuck to itself instead of being too fluffy.
Basically, it was perfect for building snowmen.
Which was, of course, why she made sure she and Steve were out there, doing precisely that.
She patted her snowball round with beige gloves and bent down, starting to roll it around, to form the head. It might be a trick to get it perfectly spherical, but she'd manage. She was Lydia, after all. And as always, in true form, she was dressed almost inappropriately, with a short dress over fleece tights and adorable booties, a cap pulled down over her hair to keep her ears warm.
