This meme was inspired by those who wanted more memes in which posters are required to make a start up post.

Have you ever wanted to travel to another planet? Another REALITY? Even if this is something that has never crossed your mind, It's about to happen. For reals. A giant wormhole has opened up beneath you and dropped you elsewhere. You have no choice in what world you're heading to, or even where you'll be landing. Luckily (or unluckily) you'll be dropped near to a resident of the world who will have no choice but to play your tour guide and help you get to know your new home.

How it works

1. Post with your character. In the body include a little bit about where your character is, and what they are currently doing. You can write as little, or as much as you want! Just a simple sentence saying something like [John Doe is sitting in his office at the paper company goofing off and playing call of duty while his boss isn't looking.] is fine, or you could go into more detail and write a paragraph or two describing a key place in your world's canon to really set the scene for incoming tourists.

Do not leave your initial comment blank! Set up a scene, no matter how short.

2. Find someone else who's world you are invading and post dropping in on them. Maybe you just opened a door and found yourself there, maybe you fell into a worm hole. Either way you are not where you were a moment ago.

optional: The wormhole might have handily provided you with the means to blend in to your new environment. If you find yourself hopping out into a school, you might be wearing an appropriate uniform, if you happen to fall out into a swords and sorcery type world you might find yourself sporting plate armor or wizard robes, and if you find yourself on an alien planet... well you might look just like the aliens who live there.

3. Remember that with this sort of meme it's probably best to tag outside of canonmates. But, either way, have fun and try not to kill the tourists!

[ You'll find yourself in the study of a certain banished Norse god by the name of Loki. It's a spacious room lined with stuffed bookshelves. The carpet is thick and in the middle is a coffee table flanked by two very comfortable and expensive looking couches. Right next to a huge picture window is Loki's antique and hand carved desk. Loki himself is sitting behind it in a high backed chair, a cup of fragrant tea in one hand, a newspaper in the other. ]

Well now. I certainly wasn't expecting any guests today. Certainly not ones who didn't come through the front door at least. Care to explain yourself?

[ He doesn't look particularly surprised or concerned. If anything there's a bit of mild amusement glimmering in his green eyes. ]

[ Signless is just chilling here in his respiteblock in his caretaker's hive ~~so he still lives with his mama stfu~~ working on his next sermon.

Congratulations lucky tourist. You are probably going to drop in on one of the only trolls on Alternia who will not immediately try to cull your ass for popping in uninvited. ]

[A 13 year old boy is sitting in a cafe being interviewed by a few reporters about some movie that he is in.

He is answering most questions with a nod, a shake of his head or a shrug.

The reporters seem a little frustrated trying to get a good scoop out of the kid.

If only something strange would happen to give them something to report.]

[The child who popped in doesn't seem all too startled by this.

More confused, though it barely registers on that face. Golden eyed gaze glancing around before looking to the one who talked to him.

Shaking his head at that question, not really sure how to explain himself. Someone, somewhere, did something very wrong.]

[ The ghost of a smile playing upon his lips he set his cup back down on it's saucer with a soft but audible clink. ]

Speak up. I promise I won't be upset or angry. Unless of course you happen to be an assassin sent here to kill me. Then I just might object.

[ He laughs as he folds his newspaper neatly on his desk. ]

I sense nothing malicious in you though.

[You literally drop into a rather spacious library. It is decorated in lovely tones of green and accented with gold. A warm fire crackles in the stone hearth, and large windows trimmed with green velvet curtains give you a lovely view of the night sky.

You also have a very irate god of mischief pointing a nasty looking...well, you're not sure what it is, but it looks nasty and pointy, and it its almost touching your nose.]

Who are you?

[ whoever you are, whatever you were doing, well.. you probably didn't expect to find yourself in a cave beneath the ocean, did you? it's rather pretty, at least, and surprisingly bright from some sort of luminescent algae on the walls. someone seems to maybe live there, as well, because there are various fabrics and cushions over near the back of the cave making up a sort of nest, and there are odd bits and baubles and trinkets everywhere. most of them probably came from shipwrecks if their varying states are any indication.

the entrance of the cave leads directly into the water, and it laps gently against the stone, quiet and serene.

and by the way? you're not alone. there's a figure staring from the water, slender pale arms folded over the stone floor, nose and eyes and dark hair just visible over the tops of them. --the eyes are sort of odd, though, aren't they? a bright, vivid, almost poisonous green, with slit pupils. and-- is that the glint of snakeskin on the curve of the figure's upper arms?

huh. what do. ]

...I don't know.

[He nods to that last part, though. He's not really all that dangerous seeming.

At least, not blood thirsty like some.]

[ Suddenly, there's a twelve-year-old human boy standing in the room, looking around nervously. ]

...Er.

You don't?

[ That reply earns a slight raised eyebrow. Loki is pretty good at detecting lies and this boy certainly doesn't seem deceitful. Quiet certainly, but he seems to be telling the truth. ]

Tell me then, what can you remember before you found yourself here? Anything unusual? Anyone unusual?

[Sabriel would be vaguely reminded of Abhorsen's house, if she wasn't too busy being startled. She was reaching for her sword, but she yanks her hands away from the sword and the bells and holds them up in a gesture that she hopes won't be taken as threatening.]

I- Abhorsen!

[It comes out as more of a squeak than anything else as she takes a step back, already trying to put a spell together in her mind.]

[The Old Kingdom is not a safe place, most of the time. But for now, the clearing where Sabriel's sitting down against an immense stone monolith is free of the walking dead. For now, anyway.

Strange, shining symbols flow over the stone as Sabriel looks up at the stars- although one of her hands is resting on her sword hilt as she stands up. The Dead are not close, but she can sense them in the distance as she stares into the gloom of the forest before suddenly turning, drawing her sword at an unexpected noise.]

[He doesn't lie though he seems to take time before talking.

Unsual is pretty relative. But so unusual as to make him end up in a random location like this?

He shakes his head.]

...I felt dizzy, then appeared.

Huh. A mystery then.

[ He can't sense the interference of any of the other gods. There IS something lingering about the air that is... unnatural, but he can't really place exactly what it's source might be. ]

You're lucky then you happened into my study. Events that are strange and unexplainable are a bit of a specialty of mine. Tell me, what's your name?

How did you get into my personal study? [He keeps the weapon leveled at the girl's chest as she stands. He could sense some magic, but it should not have been enough to get through his barriers.]

I don't know- I was near Qyrre, and then I was suddenly here.

[And Sabriel gathers enough composure that her next words actually sound like a demand, and she steps to the side.]

I mean you no harm, so put down your weapon.

[Sabriel's almost finished arranging a spell of immobility in her head, and the fingers of her left hand twitch a little in anticipation.]

[Being the god of mischief and trickery made him a very good at spotting when people were lying. This girl was up to something, but she was not lying when she said she did not know how she got here. He quietly produces a magical shield around himself just in case.

He lowers the weapon, but still holds it at the ready.]

What realm do you hail from?

The Old Kingdom. [So he must not have recognized the name 'Abhorsen'. Did he know what the bells meant, though?]

I assume that means you're not responsible for taking me, then?

[Still holding the spell at the ready, but Sabriel relaxes slightly.]

[Loki shakes his head. He had never heard of that realm, but he had met people who did not come from any of the nine realms, so he would be a fool to think the girl could not come from elsewhere.]

No,I am not. I do not tend to practice magic in my nightwear and then threaten my newly summon beings with spears. [He is in a green silk robe, clearly not dressed to receive guests.]

[Sabriel's dressed in a kind of mail armor that seems to be some kind of grey stone or cerarmic, with a sword at her hip and a bandolier of seven bells over her chest.]

Do you have any idea how to send me back, then?

[He was visiting some old friends in Egypt. Of course, while he was there, he wanted to see how developed his former homeland has become and to see the sights. You'll find him very close to the Temple of Philae, where he's very tempted to go into a blocked off area of the ruins. Are you going to join him, or stop him from going in?]

[Jane really does not mean to hit you with her car. She will assure you, once you're conscious, that she is actually a really good driver and she absolutely passed the test on the first go. Sorry. She's so sorry about this. She had just been backing out of her parking spot in this small New Mexico town, after all. Maybe her mind had been elsewhere.]

Sadly, not at this moment. I honestly do not know from what cosmos you hail, but it is not this one. With some research I should be able to find a way though.

[He considers her attire for the first time] You are a warrior?

[It was a rare occasion when Dorothy visited home. She had missed her family something fierce during her time at school, however, and the quiet of the farm is a welcome change from the usual hustle and bustle of her daily life. Anyway, nothing ever happens anymore in Kansas.

Well, except for a thud she's just heard in the barn late at night. Quickly, she drops the book she's been reading and hurries in, grabbing the shotgun and pointing it directly at you.] Going somewhere?

[A small boy, no older than 12, suddenly appears by Yugi's side. He smiles up at him.]

These ruins are fascinating, aren't they!
