It was a typical day for Kurt Wagner. He shifted his long coat, his hat low over his face to keep his blue skin hidden. He was sneaking around, looking for easy food. Here at the open market, he could put his talents to work.

The second the merchant's back is turned, he snags an apple and makes a run for it. The cries of hey get back here! follow him into the alley but when they run after, the alley is empty. Kurt having teleported through the nearest wall to disappear from being chased...

...except he trips over someone. Panicky and apologetic, he tries to help the woman up quickly so he can make his....escape....

She was so beautiful, Kurt forgot what he was doing. "I...I...I..."

Which is why they've probably been hanging out for a while in-game. It's someone he could easily attach himself to and hold a conversation with, due to him knowing how to handle a person with that personality.

Civilian veiled, Jeannie had been browsing, doing things the mortal way. The way she'd done, once upon a time. Shopping spilled along with her, the blonde looked up as he fretted and flustered, that slight furrow between her brows relaxing. He hadn't done any damage - and even if he had, it would have been easily rectified.

Righting herself via that offered hand, as he seemed otherwise distracted all of a sudden, she smiled kindly, a touch awkward.

"Are you alright?"

His line. Hers now.

Escape is completely forgotten now. Her voice is just as beautiful as her face. Her question steals his voice completely. The purple color rising up his blue cheeks as he realizes he's staring openly.

And his face is exposed. Surely she will think him just as hideous as the rest of the world does...he almost doesn't care so long as he can see her face.

"....you are so beautiful," he manages to get out in German, his native tongue. Wondering if he was ill, being brave enough to speak to someone 'normal'.

Oh no, he was still holding her hand! In his blue three fingered hand. This was so awkward.

Eggsy Unwin | Kingsman: The Secret Service

He'd seen him around, of course.

Tommy's been out of the army for years, but he still observes, still registers and doesn't forget a face. Kingsman has been Shelby Brother's Ltd.'s top client since the company first started up, and they're a group of highly trained, highly dangerous individuals. Tommy knows how they're trained, how they work, who they are, as much as they let him. Merlin feeds him enough information to be useful, but keeps the rest out- the rest, Tommy has to do himself.

He visits London every few months for test drives, to instruct the members and the technical staff, and so he has seen Eggsy Unwin, and he liked him from the moment he saw him. The compound is populated with well-bred people with posh accents who sometimes hear his own rough voice and think of him as a grunt because of it. They pay him too well for him to do anything about it, but when he hears Eggsy talk to Merlin that first time he's already smiling when they enter the room-- it's such a nice change that he already feels a little fond of him before they've even properly met.

And then they talk, with Merlin the middle, and he's even more charmed. Eggsy's smart, and brash, and he gets on Merlin's nerves in just the right way to make Tommy grin behind his hands. He picks up the prototype Tommy'd brought, and he not only knows how to use it with the bare minimum of instructions- he's excited, loves it, asks Tommy questions about it with a slight flush on his cheeks.

He makes a point of seeing Eggsy again the next time; misses him the time after that; is delighted to see him again after. He muses, on his way home, why, exactly, he'd felt quite so happy to see Eggsy when all they did was exchange details on how a weapon had held up in the field, and comes to the conclusion that he's harboring a very solid crush. On a man who's probably ten years his junior, who has a wildly dangerous job, who has a jaw Tommy wants to cup and eyes he wants to see light up--

He tries to keep from thinking about it, but the next time he comes over he surprises even himself with his disappointment at Eggsy's absence. Can't always plan these visits, he tells himself, as he stands on the lawn smoking one more cigarette before he heads back to Birmingham. Next time he'll ask Merlin, he'll figure out a way to be subtle about it- and then the front door opens and Eggsy steps out, looking flushed and a little harried.
