More like, it was nice that he chose to do these human things with her, despite not actually being human anymore. She wasn't usually much for affection, but as she pulled on his hand to lead the way, she figured, if there was any time she could get away with it, it would be now.
The restaurant next door was nothing fancy, but also far better than the sketchy restaurants in Bonnie's nightmares: it served mostly American fare, and so Bonnie sighed of relief as they were escorted to a corner booth. They weren't alone (there were customers scattered around), nor was the bar empty. There were people, maybe even someone Damon could grab and feed before the night was over.
Not that she still fully approved (she'd brought blood bags!), but considering that he'd tolerated her bookstore visit... she could be persuaded to turn a blind eye for a night.
