[ haru stills when makoto raises his hand, breath catching in his throat when his fingertips touch his cheek, only to have it fall against his shoulder, instead. he's not sure what he was hoping for just then, but he knows it was more than just a hand on his shoulder. the gentle weight of makoto's hand is still welcome, though, even if haru can tell that makoto is holding himself back. maybe that's his fault for not knowing sooner.
he understands the meaning behind makoto's words, but he doesn't know what to say in return. you're not forcing me, is what he wants to say. i want to answer. but haru's mouth only opens enough to make a small, quiet strained noise before he gives up. how does he convince makoto it's okay? someone wanting him is a foreign idea to him, he's never had anyone tell him they love him that didn't extend further than as family or friends.
glancing toward the direction of the voice that calls out for him, haru frowns again. he doesn't really want to go back. he hasn't come up with an idea yet. before he can say or do anything more, makoto's hand is in his and he's following him without resistance. he has no idea what makoto is planning on doing, taking him back here, but he trusts makoto.
at the back of the chapel, he looks at him, eyes questioning. he doesn't let go of makoto's hand, not yet, whether he's forgotten or just doesn't want to or a little of both. ]
Why are we back here?
[ the obvious answer would probably be because makoto knows haru wants to end this, that he isn't ready to go back. but still, does he have a plan? ]
