AMBIGUOUS SIBLINGS

There's nothing wrong about loving your brother or sister; in fact, a deep bond between siblings is healthy and ideal. But when does closeness stop being a wonderful thing and start being...off?

Most people would say your and your brother or sister are just very, very close, perhaps a little co-dependent, yet that's understandable, perhaps, if the two of you have been through the wringer. Still, there a whispers that your relationship is more blurry than properly familial.

Is that just a misunderstanding, because you've only had each other for for so long others wouldn't understand how you've lived, or is their some truth to their suspicion?

[Canon-ly codependent with his partner, Diana, though they aren't romantic or sexual. He just. Tends to kill anyone who tries to be that way with her. Oops.

[She's extremely close to her younger brother - comes with practically having raised him - and is usually on the receiving end of his close-to-close displays of affection and love. Nariko spends most of her time pretending it isn't a problem, while also being part of it when someone exhibits even the slightest hostility towards her brother.

I'm up for a good friend/lover trying to bring up the awkwardness of it with her, AUing someone else into Nathan's place, or even someone being the target of Nariko's 'protectiveness'. It's an open playing field.]

( as far as we know, there's no canon siblings for rapunzel, so AU's the thing! open to playing her as canon, modern, or canon-transplant. )
