To be honest, Wesley felt at home, surrounded by books. He could probably do with a big more organization, but this was how he often was when in the throes of demon-hunting. It was a throwback to his Watcher days at the council, and then in Sunnydale. Though fortunately he had lost much of the prissy, holier-than-thou attitude, he could still be a little awkward at times.
That was easy when he was around Fred, the brilliant, pretty scientist. She wasn't the muscle in the group, but her brains more than made up for it. Having her around, going at the books with him was... well, nice.
He smirked at her words, raising his brow. "Perhaps there wouldn't be any shame in calling it a night. While this wouldn't be the first time I've fallen asleep here, I wouldn't wish that for you." Wesley smiled lightly at her, closing the book he had been skimming. He sighed, shaking his head but mostly teasing. "And we're usually quite good at this. Hope we're not just off our game tonight."
