[If there's one bad thing about Tony, it's that he can be obnoxiously tenacious. In, like, everything. Up to and including a fiddly piece of tech that just won't work right.

Gene's finished the book he was reading, and he has no idea what Tony's doing with all that equipment, so he figures a small nap wouldn't go amiss. He leans his head against Tony's shoulder and prepares to doze.]

[ The repulsors on his boots are cutting in and out, ever since he put the new ones in and that's not on. He's just not going to accept that. He needs to fix it because if he's in the middle of a fight with, like, Whiplash or the Black Knight and his repulsors go out, then Gene isn't going to have someone to lean on.

He glances over and sees Gene with his eyes closed and just goes back to what he's working on. Tony's screwdriver slips and he bumps Gene a bit. ]

Draco poked a little at her cheek. Insufferable twit. First, he'd been forced to sit with her because there was no more room on the train - he wasn't sure where her so-called friends were - and then she'd had the gall to fall asleep. On him. Oh, probably she hadn't meant to, he'd give her that. She just as easily could have tilted toward the window instead of onto him.

He poked her again, with no response, and sighed to himself. The last thing he wanted was to see people come in on them like this. Once her friends caught up with them, he was likely to get another punch in the eye. At the same time, it was nice and quiet and as soon as she found out she'd fallen asleep on him, she was likely to create a ruckus...and punch him in the eye.

So instead, he settled back in his seat and closed his eyes. He was tempted to tilt his head and lean against hers. It would be more comfortable. But it would also be harder for her to slip away with both their dignities intact, so he left his head where it was and hoped she woke up soon.

She had no joy when Malfoy had sat beside her on the crowded train. And so she had ignored him. She had been staring outside the window, when the click-clack click-clack of the train along the rails slowly lulled her to sleep.

Of course Hermione had no control over the way her body leaned when slumber caught up to her. She had no idea where her head rested.

Her slumber was so deep that neither of the poke at her cheek had no effect. She must be dreaming, for her body only moved a little, and an arm reflexively wrapped around his chest.
