[By now word has reached Mystic Falls about the trouble going down in New Orleans. She knows Tyler wants nothing to do with it, knowing Klaus is tied to it. Maybe that's why she does go, not because she wants anything to happen, but it sounds like things are pretty bad. And Hayley isn't the type to just call her.

Granted she's steering clear of Tyler, and Caroline doesn't blame her. She can't rationalize what he's done either (although sleeping with Klaus is somehow worse in his book). So she's packed a bag and left her problems with Mystic Falls behind her. She isn't a wolf, but she's definitely on Hayley's side.

When she reaches the city, she calls at the house in the French Quarter. She may have to stay somewhere else, hoping to not cross paths with a certain Original Hybrid.]

[Hayley hadn't meant to call Caroline but after much debate between herself and the Mikaelson family they together had decided that calling her for help would be the best option for their daughter. Neither of them knowing of anyone who would protect Hope's life more then Caroline Forbes. Hayley had yet to broach the subject with her as after the stressful events both Hayley and Klaus had put the fellow young girl through there was no certainty that Caroline would agree to help.

She could not quite understand what she had done to deserve having someone like Caroline give her a second chance like this, Hayley will forever be indebted to her and even more so if she is able to take Hope and keep her safe away from all the troubles of New Orleans and Mystic Falls.

Dropping a quick text to Caroline Hayley requested that they meet at 20:00, Jackson Square.]

[She's glad she gets the text before making it to the house in the Quarter, turning back and getting directions from her phone. It doesn't took too much longer to reach the place Hayley gave her, sending another text when she's there. Caroline isn't sure what entirely she's supposed to do, but she also knows there's probably not many people left that could or would help her.

[Hayley is unsure of how much Caroline knows about the current goings on in New Orleans so is unaware of whether or not she has heard about the conception and birth of Hope. The baby carrier may be a surprise to her when Hayley first appears out of the car, hoping that the younger girl will be able to help.]

[ At times, it seems that nothing in Souji's life ever takes on a normal cast. His major life events are dramatic, borne of strange circumstances, and the way he'd met Petra had been no different.

He remembers the first time they'd crossed paths.

At the time, Nanako had been visiting him in the city and she had become hopelessly lost within the span of an hour, despite being old enough that they'd thought she would be able to navigate the train system successfully. With her cellphone dead and no way to charge it, Nanako had wandered into one of the worse areas of the city in search of a pay phone, and encountered the wrong crowd at the wrong time.

Long story short, Petra had played a critical role in keeping Souji's adoptive little sister safe, on top of reuniting the two of them later on.

Even in the earliest of impressions that night, Petra had presented with a sort of muted but fiery presence encased in something that seemed to suffocate and contain that flame simultaneously. It still showed and made a valiant struggle to cast its light, but there was a thin, brittle sort of darkness that wrapped it up and threatened to swallow it at the same time.

It was difficult to understand him, and Souji had been immediately intrigued by his complexity.

And with every step he takes to untangle the silk knot that is Petra, Souji catches glimpses of just how complicated the rest of the rosette really is.

When Souji steps off of the train, his chest tightens a little. It doesn't happen to him often, but it's a consistent thing recently. The moments leading up to when Souji catches sight of him are like the seconds before free falling. ]

[He waits when the train arrives, dressed in a large jacket that his scrawny figure can barely fill out. It's all good to him; the bigger the better, as long as it keeps him warm and allows him the freedom of movement. His backpack has just one strap slung around his arm, hanging from his shoulder; his hands are kept in his pockets and his eyes on the passengers stepping out.

This has become an event frequent enough for him to smile with anticipation, coming from school back to his house with the slight detour to keep Souji some company. They speak to one another in English, a language Petre still can't quite use fluently, but he does his best to understand and be understood, and that seems to be more than enough. Petre would like to be able to explain this friendship without humility coming into play - what he did wasn't that extraordinary in his eyes, even if standing up to a group of malicious teenagers was an unprecedented act of bravery in his life - but he's thankful enough for having it without being questioned too often. The other boy's company is a pleasant one, and he doesn't see it fading away any time soon.]

Souji! [A smile brightens his features, waving an arm to make sure he's seen. Little time is wasted in running over to him.] Hello. How are you?

[She's been sent out by orders of the Senate to diplomatically talk to a colony on the outter edges. The Jedi Council doesn't believe there to be anything threatening, like a military base or the like, but it is thought to be a middle ground where Separatists may have been, trying to dissuade more people to their side. Because of this, Padmè is sent one Jedi as protection along with a few guards from the Senate.

The ship isn't that large, but it shouldn't take more than a day to reach the outpost. Padmè and Obi-Wan each have their own room while there's a separate room with beds for the guards. She doesn't spend much time in her room, preferring the company of Obi-Wan, and he hasn't shown any signs that she's wearing out her welcome.

It's not often she gets to be like this, lounging about with a friend.]

I'd ask you about the war, but I think I've had enough updates.

[Anakin might have provided Jedi protection for this particular mission, but he had duties of his own to keep him rather busy. During the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan had found that he and his former padawan were often separated during this time, during the war, but that was the way of things. Fortunately, he knew several techniques involving the force and meditation that could, theoretically, keep him from worrying too much over the other man. Unfortunately, that wasn't always the way.

But for now, he was content to spend some time alone with Padme. She was a remarkable young woman, skilled in diplomacy, passionate and kind. He had sensed Anakin's crush on her, and he didn't blame the other too much. For the moment, he did not foresee any trouble with this mission, so he was relatively at ease. Sitting with her, he favored her with a wry smile when she spoke.]

Then perhaps I should not concern you with the war, my lady, and instead talk of other things. [His expression softened.] How are you?

As well as to be expected given the situation. [That is that the war is stressing on her with constant tribunals and meetings, but she is not on the front lines, and she does not complain because of it.]
