001 FIRST DAY — catch up with old friends, brave new teachers, fight your way through the sea of students, and hope you're in the right classroom. oh, you're the new kid. well, that's okay as long as you've got more than enough summer vacation anecdotes to fill ten pages of times new roman size 12, single-spaced.
002 FIRST PERIOD — you're gonna be late! or are you already there? class hasn't started just yet, so chat it up or copy your classmate's homework before the teacher gets here.
003 LESSON PROPER — you're probably diligently taking notes, looking out the window daydreaming or reciting in class, much to your teacher's delight — or dismay. try not to be too obvious when counting down the minutes and pass that note as discreetly as possible.
004 FACULTY — have a bone to pick with your terror math teacher. a crush on the cute chemistry teacher? there might be something you want to ask your homeroom teacher about. in any case, you plan on seeing a faculty member today. or maybe they plan on seeing you.
005 LUNCH BREAK — man, you are starving. hopefully, today's menu has something good. if the crowded cafeteria's not your thing, try the rooftop.
006 HOOKY — one of you is skipping class. you should try talking them out of it if that's your thing.
007 DETENTION — what on earth did you do to get this? oh well. detention can't be that bad when you've got all these very nice, approachable model students around to talk to.
008 GYM — baseball, basketball, dodgeball — no matter the sport, just remember: you are the star. it's you. at least, you hope it is.
009 HOME EC. — sewing! cooking!... try not to burn the school down!

012 THEATRE — oh boy, oh boy, being the star of this play is your dream. it isn't? oh. you're still helping with the props and costumes, right?
013 LIBRARY — if you need to look something up or just want some peace and quiet, this is the place. whatever you do, shh, people are trying to read.
014 BULLY — whether they take the form of nelson muntz or regina george, if you choose to meet them at the gym at four o' clock or else, be ready to face the consequences... or maybe you don't have to. not when someone's here to help you out. [ooc: Totally normal teen who lives with her aunt and uncle for not-at-all tragic reasons and definitely gets completely average grades because she is of average intelligence and not because she has yet to be broken of the urge to hide that she could easily skip to college already.

[Jemma knows she's a cliche -- tiny nerd girl hopeless at anything involving physical activity, whose hand-eye coordination is perfect when it applies to working with lab instruments but somehow evaporates when there's a ball involved (and she knows that sounds funny) -- but there are so many more interesting things she could be doing with her time than attempting to learn the rules of some sport or another that she's still likely to be miserable at even if she understands it.

So when team activities crop up in phys ed and teams are picked, she's -- well, mostly just hoping that she'll wind up on a team that will just let her hide in the back and not ruin everyone else's chances.

It's marginally less likely to be easy to hide during dodgeball, when one of the team captains is some football player or another and the other is the quite honestly gorgeous gymnast that Jemma completely doesn't occasionally stare at when she knows she won't be caught. But she's hoping.]

[Chipper when approached but rarely approached and extremely sheltered even for a freshman, Shireen's claims to fame are her family name and her apparent passion for tutoring other students in literature and occasionally history.]

[Seto really only goes to school when he's forced. There's really very little point in attending anymore, given he's a teenage billionaire with literally no need for a high school diploma, but someone has to set a good example for Mokuba.

Besides, this was almost like vacation. Particularly today, which happened to be dissection day. And as their teacher had a particularly sick sense of humor, Seto had been stuck with Atem, and in front of them was a very large, very dead cat.]

This is awkward.

[Asshole. Despite his proclamation, however, Atem seems entirely uninterested in getting closer than a few feet away; cats were mummified and such in Ancient Egypt so it's not like this sort of thing is entirely new, but he rarely saw it himself. He had more important things to be doing, after all, like hiding from teachers and getting into trouble ~~and occasionally doing his job of running a country~~.

Still, this is not a mummification either, and might actually be closer to desecrating a corpse which grosses Atem out on its own. Not to mention he has no idea how the cat died and if it was killed for this dissection he's double grossed out.

So, while it isn't quite as much of a problem as Seto might be hoping, Atem is still definitely not interested in cutting open a cat, thanks.]
