[The fidgeting was over. At least the unconscious fidgeting. Rin's body finally reached an uncomfortable point of heat hours later, long after Sousuke had fallen asleep. He woke up, rubbing his head into what he thought was his own arm. Two in front of him and one-
No one had three arms.
Rin was still half asleep when he blinked heavy eyes and looked at his friend, nestled close. Were it not four in the morning, he may have been startled, jerked away or even shouted. Something about how comfortable Rin was, how warm he felt pressed against Sousuke, and how the other boy's soft breathing seemed to envelop them only relaxed the redhead. He brushed his fingertips against the other's shirt, tentative in his first conscious contact.
He wanted to fall back asleep, but his mind had already set to piecing the situation together. Rin saw his homework scattered on his desk and it all made sense. This had been an accident, then, and Sosuke had simply accepted it. Of course he did. The taller boy had seemed to always go along with what Rin wanted since he'd transferred. Apparently this also applied if Rin was unconscious.
A gentle sigh puffed between them as Rin mentally shook his head. This guy needed to think about himself, too. The thought occurred to Rin to wake his friend up, chase him off to the comfort of his own bed, but when he opened his mouth to speak he couldn't find the words.
All he could do was look at Sousuke's face. It was so relaxed, so content. At peace. So different from his usual expression. When did there become a discrepancy? Rin hadn't noticed-
Rin felt a small prick of guilt. Concern. His hands were useless between them, trapped by the bigger boy's arm, so he shifted forward, pressing his forehead deliberately into the crook of Sousuke's neck. It was the closest to a hug he could manage.]
