THE SLAP-SLAP-FUCK MEME
( for the anon who asked for it here. )

When characters spend a lot of time bickering, it is all but inevitable that sooner or later one will interrupt the other in mid-rant by suddenly grabbing them and kissing them.The kissed one rarely resists, and usually responds wholeheartedly.

Usually this is triggered by their hostilities reaching a climax, followed by a moment where both stare at each other in combined confusion and shock, after which they dive into the kiss.

Either way, the kiss prompts both to realize that they've been in love all this time — the rationale being that they wouldn't argue so much if they didn't give a damn about each other. Normally results in some kind of permanent change in their relationship.

In this meme, we're taking that concept one more

Maybe you and this person have been at each others neck forever, in a sort of dance of belligerent sexual tension. On the other hand, you could be friends that get along swimmingly, but right now you're just irritated. Or it's something in between - or even obvious love. At any rate, you're in a will-they-won't-they relationship, with it being clear you care about the other...or at least it being clear to everyone around you. Get a room, you two.

Despite the meme name, no physical violence need be involved. Actually, real arguments need not be involved, either. One of the characters could be upset, crying, sarcastic, giving the other the silent treatment. There just needs to be tension that erupts into lip-on-lip contact...that leads to skin to skin contact. If you know what you mean.

So what brought you here? Jealousy? Anger at someone for being so reckless? Them ignoring you? Being angry you care so much about them? Whatever the case may be, it's looking less and less important. What does matter is where you go from here. Denial? Confessions...

Maybe they're wearing a new perfume. Maybe someone's making cookies or baking bread. Maybe they haven't taken out the garbage late. Maybe someone needs to light a match. Maybe it's something else entirely.

Whatever it is, you really should go and find out...

yes, it really is that simple. there's something strange in the air and your character can't help but notice it. maybe it's enjoyable, maybe it isn't. maybe it leads to sharing delicious baked goods with your thread-partner or maybe it leads to an argument about who's really the one stinking up the place. you get the idea.

LOVE ON AN ADVENTURE meme

Lucky you. For a while, you get to eschew a normal life and see life past your door; you're going on a quest! It could be for personal reasons, for fun, for profit, or to save the world as you know it. In all likelihood, it's the latter, given the natural order of things, but hopefully it's not. Whatever the case may be, you won't be going it alone, however. Whether it's just you and a partner or a true fellowship, you've got people to back you up. You may not all start out as the best of friends, that's true - still, the fires of potential life or death scenarios or the threat of losing your booty draw you closer together, and a friendship forms.

With one member of your party, more than friendship grows between you.

But wait, you have to defeat the dark lord, find the oldest wand, fight evil by moonlight, create a giant robot, or any other number of tasks. There's no time for this sort of nonsense! Actually, you may push them away because of the mission or due to past wounds that tie into said mission. Maybe, though, you can steal moments to get closer, let a romance blossom...or more.

Comment with your character, preferences, and any other info - ie, keep it PG, etc.
Even though I used a fantasy picture, don't feel constrained! In Harry Potter, they have to find a wand, in Supernatural, the Colt, in Avatar, they have to fight the Fire Lord, etc.

The Apocalypse.

It's the end. No matter where you live, no matter what your world or universe is, the end is now. And you know it. And everybody around you knows it.

There is nothing you can do. You can't stop it, it will come, and it will destroy everything, yourself included.

Now, you only have a couple of hours left. What will you do? Who will you see? Who will you search for? Are you going to call someone you haven't seen in years to apologize? Are you finally going to tell someone the truth you've been hiding? Will you finally confess to that one person you've known you've always loved but never had the courage to come clean about? Or are you going to gather all your friends and have one last beer together, while watching it all come crumbling down through your window?

Will you be alone, in the end?

It may very well have been a dream of yours to take care of any future special someone, or, to be brutally honest, this whole situation may have fallen into your lap. Now, no matter if all of your attention is given from the kindness of your own heart or only out of ego and obligation, you're making sure that your boyfriend, girlfriend, gender-nonspecific-friend never wants for anything! Essentials, a home, monetary support,accessories, gifts, if they need or desire it, you'll make sure they've got it.

...of course, just because you're actually trying doesn't mean you always get things right. And don't forget, the importance of mental support and availability can't be underestimated. It's easy to get caught up in the material and neglect what's most important.

You can figure out what you need to put in your comment. The basics, of course, but you may also want to include what role your character will play and, if they're a "provider," if their altruism comes from the right place or is done begrudgingly. Do they provide emotionally, as well? Are they just going through the motions? Are they a natural or, if applicable, does their alien/demonic/otherwise inhuman background hinder them?
