My preferences tend to lean toward femmeslash in terms of romance or smut or shipping or what have you, but crack and fluff with male characters is fine. In most cases I'm fine with and encourage exotic canon mixing, though some may work more easily than others.
Sci-fi kind of characters like Samus and GLaDOS might have a bit of a harder time working with fantasy/magic characters, but it's not impossible. I'd like to get GLaDOS against some Portal characters; Chell mostly, but Wheatleys are fun enough to torment. Bulleta, on the other hand, I think would fit pretty well into fantasy/fairy tale environments like Disney princess worlds (and the fact that she owns rocket launchers and machine guns will be casually ignored because shush). Similarly, Samus seems to fit very well into most space-based canons (I could easily work her into a Mass Effect or even Star Wars setting), so in that sense she's very malleable. I've found she makes a great drinking buddy for FemSheps. Space monsters and electric mouse pokemons are also welcome. Chiri, gag anime girl that she is, could easily enough be transplanted into settings with characters from Eva, or Puella Magi or one of those Cure animes, or even something Dynasty Warrior-ish (I've never played the games but they reference it in the show with Chiri). I could see A.B.A working in a setting like Full Metal Alchemist but I'm so far out of the loop with that series I don't really remember how it all works (she's a homunculus, though). Peacock's got the old-tymey rubberhose cartoon thing going; I haven't had a chance to think about optimum compatibility with her yet, though. Fran... Well, Fran is a very polite mad scientist. She'd probably fit well into settings like Resident Evil or some such zombie-related stuff, though I could easily get her into even a Fallout kind of setting, or just something modern. She's MADE a whole series of Kamen Rider type people (though I know jack of the actual series I will confess) so she's had at least a couple of confusing encounters with the real ones already (older versions might work better?). I haven't played with Sawyer in a while, though I'd like to find a Revy to bitchfight with, or someone else from the series. Homura seems to be having no problem finding Madokas to play against, though I'm not adverse to having her thread with any of the other characters from the show, or other such similar magical girls. I... I also have this... This bizarre desire to see her played against characters from Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. Don't judge me. Ideally I would be able to find a consistent Honey to play Natsuko against, but similar such ditzy blondes would annoy her just as easily. Yomiko doesn't do too well in an aggressive role or one that requires initiative (she's just not a very good top 8I), but someone to drag her out of her pile of books could be nice. I haven't been playing with her much lately but I want to fix that eventually. I feel like I haven't played Kanaya against a Vriska in forever somehow. That needs to change. Aside from her, though, I have to confess I'm prone to shipping her with anything female in the Homestuck universe. It is my shame. :I Kabegami is new, but I've found she likes Spider-Mans. Wall crawlers to pay tribute to the goddess of walls. <3
Again, I'm not adverse to other types of canon mixings, if you're interested and I didn't mention it, feel free to ask. Ugh my formatting and organization sucks sorry if that's hard to read
I don't have a primary account, I live out of my RP van.
