[Pink hairdye is a bitch to rinse out once the colour sets in properly. She's been in the shower for the past ten minutes, just bent over at the waist to keep any dye from settling on her skin accidentally, massaging her scalp and letting the water do the rest. Only it's not doing it fast enough, and she feels mild embarrassment for taking up his bathroom for so long, when she told him it would only be twenty minutes at best and you're busy with research anyway so why would it bother you.
