[Sometimes, the nicest days are the ones they don't have to worry about anything. Parked for a bit between instances of some business or another being dealt with, getting put up in a hotel (not nearly the nicest they've ever, but nothing to turn up one's nose at), nobody minding when they appear: it's unspeakably lovely.

The blankets are all but kicked off by the time the morning comes, and ordinarily Jemma would be all about trying to fix that (especially considering they didn't bother with pajamas last night), but she's still got Skye beside her to keep warm, at least until Skye ducks into the shower. [ Most likely, this is exactly what she wants - Lydia always has loved to get a reaction out of him, hasn't she? Well, she's definitely succeeding tonight, maybe a little more than she intended, but he'll never know. She doesn't let those things show. All part of the plan.

A portion of their clothes, his and hers, have already been discarded, and Gale's hands are currently making their way up her shirt, taking note of all the ways her body curves, following the paths they make like the tracker he is. Her hand feels great in his hair, almost as good as having her body beneath his, lips crashing together not desperately, but with definite want, and not a small bit of passion. Gale is careful not to show too much, having trained himself early on with his (and his father's) mistrust of the New Rome government. Lydia, however, a true pride to her mother, can draw his emotions from deep under the surface with an ease that isn't common to anyone outside of his family, and all without her powers.

Pressing closer, he moves from her lips to follow her jawline, alternating with a kiss here, a light suck there, up until he reaches her ear. There, he bites gently, sliding his left hand down her side and over her hip. There's a part of him, a quiet voice in the very back of his mind, that wonders if she's surprised by the way he's reacting to her now.
