The not quite kiss turned into a real one as he captured her lips for a quick moment. "Why do I need a motive other then I love you?" Her curiosity was normally something he loved about her but right now he needed to quell it. He couldn't have her getting suspicious or this would never work, even if he regretted using their love as a scapegoat.
