asgardhero: (down for the count)

[Ah, nothing but battle, but still Thor knows she shares the experience, that she also was there to do the terrible deed and that her words reflect the sharing. The offer she gives him he takes at face value, as a gift. Loki is as cunning with her gifts as she is with her refusals. Her hand is a slight weight on his.

Thor, taller and far thicker than his dark, lithe sister, follows her to the baths a docile as a lamb. The tub in his rooms is sunken, marble, large enough for many and befitting a prince of Asgard. One wall opens in columns to the dark, warm night, an entire cosmos of sky near close enough to reach. He stands and stares out at it as Loki draws the bath, letting his rage and grief simmer at the bottom of his throat.
