[Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your perspective), the touch to Yusuke's elbow isn't enough to fluster him. It gets his attention, that's for sure, and it makes his entire arm feel all warm and tingly and weird afterwards, but it seems innocuous enough to him, given the circumstances, that he ultimately doesn't look into it enough to get himself all excited about it. The comment that Kurama makes as they're walking towards the door, on the other hand... well now, that's a different story. It's a good thing Kurama has his back to him, he thinks, because if he were to look in a mirror right now, he's pretty sure he'd find that his eyes had widened to the size of saucers. Seriously, what was that supposed to mean? Was Kurama trying to say that he just looks hot, or... or was he trying to say he is hot?

Don't be stupid, Yusuke tells himself crossly as they step into the house. Of course Kurama was only saying that he looks like he's hot. It's summer and he's a dumbass who went outside wearing a black bomber jacket, of course he looks hot! Speaking of which, he reckons he'd probably feel a lot better just in general if he took the damn thing off. He's just gonna... do that, then. It's as Yusuke's shrugging his jacket off that he finally responds, taking care to make sure that it's consistent with how he would normally respond to a friend making a remark like that. And how, you ask, would he normally respond?]

Stop. You're embarrassing me.

[... by being a smart-aleck, that's how. Hey, look, regardless of what Kurama actually meant when he said "you are hot", the fact is that it came out sounding a little funny. Might as well try to save a little face and give Kurama a little shit while he's at it, right?]
