Either way, you're sharing a flat (or maybe even a room) now! What's going to happen?

Other/The Friendly One

[Tails could safely say that this was a new experience. Finding a dragon on Cocoa Island was certainly exciting! Well, terrifying, at first, but time had passed enough that the little fox kit wasn't hiding from the dragon anymore. He'd even showed Skyfire to one of the caves he camped out in near Caron Forest.]

[So with his new dragon friend here, Tails found himself living in the cave in lieu of his parents' old workshop. It was much better than being alone, Flickie birds notwithstanding. Maybe they weren't roommates in the CONVENTIONAL sense, but it worked out, somehow.]

[Right now, Tails was running back into their cave, shouting excitedly.]

Skyfire!! Skyfire, are you awake right now? I hope you're awake now 'cause I got somethin' really neat to show you that I made at the workshop!!

There's a confident, brief knock at the door, and a key rattles in the lock. The door opens, and a contralto female voice calls out.

"Hello? Anyone home?"

Even Zuko figuring out how to play a movie! After several attempts where he tried, and failed. And tried again! ... But also failed again.

But after several repeated attempts and some heated words at inanimate technology he figured out what he was doing and the movie did start up only now-- ]

It's supposed to be. I can see things moving on the screen, but something's still wrong with it.

[ That something being the fact that there is no sound. What's up with that? ]

[It had been interesting to find a sentient organic that wasn't terrified of him... well, after a bit at least. Having someone even give him a chance was wonderful. Tails was one of his only friends in this new place.]

[Skyfire put down the bit of metal he's working on carving and looks up, chuckling softly.]

I'm awake. I'm awake.

[He gets up and stretches a little, coming out to meet Tails at the entrance. He's very curious about what Tails had made.]

What has you so excited?

[Tails beams at the appearance of the dragon. He then sets down what looks like a little tin, robotic version of himself on the cave floor, stepping back to observe his creation proudly.]

It's a little remote control robot! I've been workin' on it for a while, now!

[He lay himself out flat on the ground and tried to get a good look at the little thing, going a bit cross-eyed in the process.]

A few weeks or so, now! My dad had some old materials stocked up in the back of the workshop left over from the paneling for the Sea Fox! If I followed the blueprints right, then it's flight capable!

You mean that little thing can fly?

[Skyfire couldn't manage anything more than crude carvings and figures at the moment... relearning how to use his hands after his transformation into a dragon was hard. At least it kept him busy though.]

[If he had followed his father's blueprints, then it wouldn't initially be a problem. But the fox always did have his reservations; there was always an opportunity for something to go amiss if you weren't really careful.]
