"H-hey..." Caught just as effectively by Neptune's knowing smile - and feeling quite a bit more in the hot seat for it - Uranus blinked and tried shifting her weight, only to find her legs frozen in place again. Shoot. While they'd been busy making light of their situation, the enemy's trap had...

She couldn't even have the satisfaction of tracking down the guilty party afterwards; for once, she'd been too efficient. Payback wasn't supposed to operate in reverse. It almost felt like letting the enemy have the last laugh.

Blinking again, she rested her hands on Neptune's hips - to steady both of them, she told herself, staring into the other woman's eyes in grim determination. "Anyway, we've got a time limit," she reminded her partner, resolute that she was not re-finding her focus just because Neptune had discovered her slip-up. "Let's finish this up and get out."

And without further ado, she planted a rather more urgent kiss on Neptune's mouth, holding on firmly. The moment they could move again, they needed to be on their way. This was no time to be forgetting they were soldiers!

The kiss was no less passionate for all that. She wanted to smile some more at her partner, too - once they were somewhere she could take her time.
