Maybe you were just cleaning up, maybe you were snooping on purpose when you found the letter tucked away where they obviously thought you would never find it. It has your name written right on it, plain and clear. Do you read it? It's so hard to resist... And if you do, do you confront them about it or try your best to ignore it? - Post your character with name, series, and any preferences. - Others respond after enlisting the help of RNG on deciding a type or just choosing the one they like best. - Play nice.	1. hate ∞ the letter details what you've done to bother the person who wrote it. It lists all the problems they have with you and all the wrongs you've done to them. 2. break ∞ secretly, they've wanted to break up with you for awhile now. 3. love ∞ they are hopelessly, helplessly in love with you. 4. depression ∞ they're very depressed or desperate and spill out every reason why. 5. confession ∞ they've done something wrong and detail it in this letter. Was it to you or somebody else? 6. sexy ∞ not quite romantic, they're confessing all the dirty things they would like to do with you. 7. leaving ∞ they were offered a job or something too enticing to pass up and they're planning on leaving you soon. 8. wildcard ∞ If you don't like any of the above options, make up your own letter!

[Aeson what are you even doing in Alex's room. That's very rude. Well, you'll be rewarded, for there's a letter poking out of a pile of papers on his desk, labeled "Aeson", crossed out and relabeled "DO NOT OPEN THIS IS TO BE BURNT".

Inside is a message that starts as a list of everything wrong with Aeson and every reason why he should go die. And then there's a mark as if he forgot what he was writing while the pen was still on the paper, and it gets a bit more friendly. "I want to be friends with you but I no longer think that's an option". That's how it ends. Hmm... very curious.

Hope you weren't reading it though because that's the sound of Alex approaching his room.]

[The sound of Alex's footsteps approaching jolts Aeson out of his thoughts. His eyes flicker to the door, then finding it still closed, he hastily tries to shove the paper back into place with trembling fingers.

Ends up just crumbling it, cursing under his breath and there the door opens already with the telltale creak of unoiled hinges.

Caught, the paper still in his hands. He freezes where he stands, hoping against hope that Alexander will overlook him. Because snooping half-brothers could easily be furniture, they could.

[Sorry Aeson but no matter how lanky you are you'll never resemble a coat hanger. Alex pauses, already his nerves are on end seeing his half-brother in his room. Then the letter catches his eye, and that with Aeson's body language, well.. it's not a hard leap to figure out what just happened.

He shoots Aeson a look of absolute loathing.] What the hell are you doing in here?

Err...

[Aeson's mouth opens and closes several times with nary but gurgling sounds coming out. It's funny how Alexander can make him feel that way, small and stupid, though Aeson is several years older than him. Sometimes he wonders if that's the difference between being full-blooded and half-blooded.]

What... I... [He laughs nervously, a high-pitched sound, and holds on to the crumpled paper for dear life.] That's a funny story, actually.

Put that d- [He stops himself, for he doesn't want to sound too desperate. It might indicate that letter actually has any meaning. He growls, then marches right in and snatches the letter from him, not even caring if it rips in the process.]

I don't care, get out, you filthy half-breed peasant mutt! Who told you you could touch anything in my room, huh?

[For a moment, just a moment, Aeson looks as if he had been slapped. Then the facade returns, though his is not as good as that of most of his clan. Good enough to save his battered pride, though, so he stiffens his spine and raises his head.]

I don't know, Thornwell, why don't you hide your secrets better instead of crying when you're caught? [A low blow, oh yes, but Alex... He swallows hard. He didn't want to fight, but then he never does. Alex just knows exactly what buttons to push.]

[And here, ladies and gentlemen, is a fine example of a true Regis reaction to insult; Alex's spine does straight as a nail, his entire body becomes rigid and he seems to bristle up from offense.]

...You shut your trap, half-blood! [He squeaks. Blast! That was supposed to come out stronger. Instead he just gives Aeson a hard shove - no of course it doesn't matter that Aeson is significantly less scrawny, his anger clearly outweighs muscle.] Don't you even dare use my name against me, you should be lucky my father was so kind as to not cast you back to your kind like you deserve, you rat! Get out of my room, you'll make it smell like you in here!

[It is a very proper and very fine Regis response to insult indeed. Unfortunately for all that he may be a dirty half-blood, as Alex never fails of reminding him, Aeson has spent all his life among the Regis clan. Their temper tantrums are nothing new or impressive anymore.

He takes a small step back when Alex shoves him, but steadies himself then, growling at his brother's latest insults.] Yes, of course, I'm so lucky that your stuck-up ass of a father tolerates me - I reckon I should consider myself lucky you haven't poisoned my food yet, too? [He steps closer to Alex again, determined to use these two years of age difference and the height advantage that comes with it. He rarely does, he really tries to get along as Mom wishes, but sometimes Alex just makes him want to scream. Or hurt him, in any way he can.] You've got no right to sneer at anyone's blood, Thornwell, my grandmother was a peasant, but at least she wasn't a peasant whore. Do you spread your legs for a loaf of bread, too, or are you prissy enough to demand gold?

[He hesitates; he's not an idiot, he's fully aware Aeson could break him if he really tried. His eyes narrow, and well... pale skin doesn't do well to disguise the embarrassed shade his face has taken on.]

Shut up, you ass, just shut up! Do you think you've got any right to sneer at anyone's family, ungrateful dog! [He wrinkles his nose.] Your insubordinance is disgusting, I can't believe mum actually likes you.

[Funny thing is, he's never wanted to break Alex like the snotty little twig he is. Well, only sometimes. About half the time. Then there are these times when Alex's desperation calls to him and he just wants to console him, but Aeson knows better than to try.

He smirks at his brother. Alex looks kind of ridiculous with that angry flush.] Mum likes me better for so many reasons. She loved my father, you know? She can't stand yours, it's a miracle she likes you at all. [He shrugs.] But I'm just a half-blood, what do I know... and you're just a stupid cannon fodder kid who doesn't even bear the family name.
