You must understand, master. I didn't wish to harm you in any way but I find I have no choice.

[ It is, after all, in the nature of spiders to bind their prey tight and hide them away from the world. They covet them, trap them, hold them to their chest and prevent any means of escape best they can before suffocating them and draining the very life from their small fragile bodies. This, you could say, was the prelude before the consumption. It was too early, far too early. The boy hadn't acquired his full ripeness. He still needed him hale and healthy.

He needed him compliant and obedient.

The faintest scent of blood taints the air and inflames his senses as he drags that blade slower down the boy's throat. It's only enough to break the skin, light enough to cause him to bleed and draw out the barest stinging pain but not enough to make him scream out. Not enough to kill. No, that was far too early.

Almost as if to counter that pain, Alois would find the warm feel of the demon's tongue lightly licking up the cut that ran from his collarbone to the initial cut by his throat. ]
