A new town, new people and no longer an Alpha. It felt weird...strange. Ok, really there was only one new person who happened to be another teenager his sister, Cora, met at the local high school because apparently Derek's life was always being surrounded by teenagers.
He and Cora had been planning to stay at a hotel until they decided their next move; bother staying in town or keep moving. Derek's instinct voted loudly on the latter, especially when he was told this Roman guy wasn't normal but after he met the kid for himself well, intrigue and curiosity got the better of him. Roman, despite all his abnormalities, was perfect and Derek and Cora taking him up on his offer to stay within the suddenly vacant spaces of his very large home probably hadn't been the best of ideas they've ever had. But they've seen worse...right?
That proved to be truer than anything when Derek stumbled upon the naked, pale form standing in front of the large full body mirror. Roman seemed dazed by his own reflection and honestly, the wolf didn't blame him. He stared for a long while before clearing his throat and turning away. "Sorry, I just came to get something from my bags," he sounded gruff. Why had Roman decided to do this in the guest room he offered Derek and better yet: "Why aren't you in school?" Sneaking a tiny glance, Derek noticed the silvery scars, he started to ask but he wasn't supposed to be looking anyway.
