[Sherlock had gotten used to carrying a gun with him at any given moment, so much that even when he showered or slept the gun was within an arm's reach. Now, he's completely unarmed and has fatigue-weak muscles. This could be very, very bad for both of them. Especially since the driver follows Joan's second right turn.

She's noticed, so he doesn't point it out.

Pull into the car park. If they keep following, we can use it as a short-cut back to the main road.

[They could always refill the gas for this car until they can lose their pursuer long enough to acquire a new vehicle.]
