John ends up doing most of the sleeping on their cases, true. Usually that's at a table, standing upright against a wall, or after he's been left by an overzealous detective having a eureka moment and forgetting all about telling him he's about to rush off. It doesn't bother John, especially since they'll be getting a lovely tea upon arrival. He'll likely eat for both of them because Sherlock will absolutely be gunning to start the moment they arrive.

"He's asked her to cut her hair? That's strange." But not too threatening, really. John shrugs and sips at his own tea, now perfectly steeped, thank you. "I suppose it could be stranger."
