On The Run Meme

Maybe something went wrong, or maybe it's just another normal day in your life, but you've found yourself on the run. Did you commit a crime, or cross the wrong person, or simply end up in the wrong place at the wrong time? Whatever the reason behind your situation is, your goal is the same: don't get caught.

How To Play

• Comment with your character, and if you're feeling ambitious put in a bit of a starter. Who are you running from and why?

• Respond to others, either as their partner on the run or part of the force chasing them.

• Have epic adventures, fall in love, utterly fail and get caught. See how it goes!
• RNG for some extra unpredictable fun.

Scenarios
1. Running from the cops. You broke the law, whether it was shoplifting or murder, and now you've got a warrant out for your arrest.
2. Attracted the wrong attention. You made someone angry, or obsessed, or otherwise drawn their ire and now they're after you.
3. Somewhere or somewhen. You've ended up in a place and/or time in which you're not welcome.
4. Wildcard!

Relationships
1. Friends (or more.) You've known each other for awhile and are on good terms, so hopefully you can rely on each other in this situation.
2. Circumstantial allies. Strangers, enemies, or otherwise you've ended up in this mess together, and it might benefit you both to cooperate.
3. Opposite sides. One of you is the runner, and the other is pursuing. Which will prevail?
4. Wildcard!

Complications
1. Late to the party. How many people did you piss off? In addition to whoever was already after you, someone else now is as well. Maybe they'll take each other out?
2. Confrontation. They've found you, and it's come down to a fight.
3. Disguise. You can't evade them, but you can hope they won't recognize you. Better be a good actor!

[ It was supposed to be a clean break. He sneaks off while Peil's looking the other way, and no more fake body double life as an expendable test subject.

If only it were that easy.

He hadn't gotten far before the alarms had been sounded. The good(?) news is, he's not the one they're after. The guards appeared to be looking for a different escapee. Someone said to be dangerous. Someone who indeed looked ready to lash out at him before he'd put his hands up and said he wasn't going to turn her in when she showed up to his hiding spot by chance. So now they're huddled together, and he can't exactly kick her out because it's not like he has dibs on hiding spots, and maybe that's callous of him, but, selfishly, he doesn't want to worry about anyone but himself right now. ]

So what's your plan?

[Basic gist: Largely faction-neutral Orion mercenary in her mid thirties, can be adapted into most any Star Trek timeline point for ease of RP, flirty, easy to get along with, but extremely observant. Pilot, mercenary, ship captain. Also comes in various Starfleet AU flavors as desired.

[ The question borders on the absurd. Shouldn't it be obvious? She doesn't voice her disdain aloud with sarcasm. Not yet at least. Her would-be cohort hasn't done anything worth getting his head caved in. ]

To get out of here. [ But, she adds: ] And kill anyone who gets in the way.

[ She takes out a scrap of paper tucked into her medical gown and studies it. She swiped it when a guard wasn't looking, and her finger traces along the map of the building to find where they are. ]

They keep vehicles in the lowest garage, just below ground level. I'll make a hole in the wall and while they chase after ghosts, we'll swipe one and leave for real.

[ She pauses, appearing to be thinking, but really she's just taken aback that she's already using "we" instead of just "I." ]

[ The map gets his attention and he leans over to check it out. That's when he takes notice of her horns. His gaze lingers for a moment, longer than is polite, as he wonders what exactly they were keeping her for.

But more importantly - the map. Now that's a plan. One he can get on board with. On the other hand, getting involved with her could spell trouble. Ideally, he would prefer a quiet, bloodless exit, but he's not going to feel bad if any of their pursuers kick it. He, too, would fight like hell not to be put back into a lab. ]

Yeaah, sure. No problem. [ His voice holds the slightest pause of someone bullshitting, because has he ever driven a car? Not that he can remember, but this is one of those do or die situations. ]

The problem is, how are you going to blow a hole through the wall? I have a couple bullets at most, and the building's got to be reinforced. It won't take long for them to guess we're headed for the garage.

[Immortal and time-traveller who's been a Time Agent, a conman, a mercenary and a hero over the years... there are a LOT of people he could be on the run from!
He can also turn up on virtually any world at virtually any point in time, and is very good at finding trouble wherever he goes.]
