Likely the last person who should be rescuing a hunter, but here he was, whispering the words into the ear of the very maddening individual who loved causing him no end of headaches. How Dean got himself captured by the Sabbat was surely a story - though Phyre could guess the brash man went in guns blazing and got himself snared by the crazed cultists - and now found himself lashed to one of their sacrificial altars, waiting for one of their insane rituals.

Either way, he was not who the vampire expected to find while cleaning out the nest of scum this evening.

"You should be more careful, Dean Winchester," the Balkan's voice comes again, the restraints around the hunter's body slowly being loosened. "These kinds do not care how many of them you kill. They will keep coming as I told you, like an unending flow of rats. Not all of us monsters blunt our teeth."

Of all the people Dean wanted to see, Phyre was honestly not that high on the list. In fact, when Phyre walks up and leans in for that whisper, Dean is about 99% convinced that the guy is going to drain him of every last drop of blood in his body. Sure, Phyre seemed like an okay guy, if a bit of a nerd, but not many monsters who claim to be homicide-free actually are, and fewer manage to stay that way. So Dean winds himself up, heart racing, torn between fear for his life and anger that he has to be ended not only here and now, but by a bookworm. Sure, karma is a bitch, but that is just insulting! He bites his lip, trying to at least die with some dignity. He can't seem to find any good last words anyway. For once, he's not in the mood for cheap insults.

Then his restraints start to loosen, and confusion sets in. That doesn't stop Dean from jumping on the opportunity, though: as soon as they are loose enough, he's going to pull free the rest of the way.

"... Yeah, well... I care how many of us they kill." Monsters will always keep going. That's really not an excuse to stop hunting and not even try to stop them, is it? Let the rats come; he'll be the exterminator.

He'll get around to thanking Phyre eventually... probably. Right now, he's still very much in fight-or-flight mode; he'll calm down when he's no longer strapped to a damn altar.

"You should lay low, stay behind me. I will finish this job. You will only get in the way and possibly get yourself killed," he murmurs, still keeping his voice low. "I can handle it, I promise."

In fact, a good half of them were already headless or in pieces considering he had to cut his way through them to get to Dean. It was not the scent he had expected to smell in a Sabbat nest, that was for sure, but he had followed it to the poor man who was lashed up after being captured.

"How did you even get yourself into this mess, anyway? Come charging in guns blazing like usual?" Chuckles the warlock, scraping a bit of blood from one of his nails absent-mindedly, as if he does this on the regular. He actually sort of does. "There are about ten ghouls ahead still, and probably their domitors. Do you even have any weapons left? I assume they took them from you."

It is unlikely Dean could escape at this point, the exits were likely closed off by slavering ghouls - ironically the safest place was likely close to the very vampire he wanted to kill.
