[By the time Akihiko had noticed him, Minato was drenched. The newspaper didn't have a fighting chance against the rain. He had tucked in his mp3 player under his shirt and use his blazer to protect that and his headphones since it would be better than putting them in his schoolbag, but then that might fill up with water and it would be like sticking his electronics in the bathtub. He did have his schoolwork in there; he wondered how it was faring now with all the rain.
He looked up when he heard that familiar voice and saw who it was that approached him. He smiled a little, grateful for the offer of the umbrella and for the concern, but he gently shook his head. He was already soaked from the rain, and he didn't need Akihiko to be the same way.]
Waiting for the rain to pass.
[It was true, he didn't have any other ulterior motive.]
What about you?
[He didn't see Akihiko after school as often as he did his other friends due to club activities, practice, or other obligations on both their parts. It was a nice change whenever he did.]
