Got the shit beat out of me for my love life and my job, nearly died a couple times, was addicted to drugs. The poster child for nice young ladies shouldn't do.

[ She shrugs. ] Way I see it, I respect myself enough to be honest, even if it does make me sound like a doomer. Keeps me from getting hurt again.

Sounds like a bad Saturday. Fair enough, though. Can't speak to the make of a nice young lady, but an honest one— you really believe when you say that's all behind you? I'm not casting aspersions, that is a genuine question.

It's been a few years now, I haven't slipped yet. But your second question, I guess it's a little of both. Though, I trust my willpower more than I trust others not to hurt me.

Honest with you in kind, I don't track the days no more. It's all Saturday. My average itinerary is either sittin' or ten dead men, a siren, and a taco cart. [ iguana does not make outstanding tacos. ]

As for willpower, either is a shit bet, but. Probably the right one. People as they are.
