[ Now that gets a proud smirk from her as she moves her hand down, the car moving down with the movement making a tiny 'thud' as it hits the ground. ] Got annoyed at some guys at a bar once and flipped his car completely. Look on his face was worth it.

[ Would always be worth it. The mist stays around her fingers and she slides off one of the bangles around her wrist. It floats there above her hand and then it stretches out as she flexes her wrist some. She brings her other hand up and pulls it out flat before slowly working it back into it's original shape. ]

Not many people think it's amazing. So...thanks I guess. [ She's not good at thanks but hey, she means it. ] I can fly too, even with someone else. As long as they have some metal on them. [ Everyone always does. ]

I can imagine. [ He lets out a laugh, picturing the look on the guy's face. Must have been all too satisfying.

He watches curiously as she manipulates the metal bracelet with a graceful ease, and when she says thanks he just gives a nod along with a warm smile. While he can't know what it's like to have been born with that kind of power, he can guess at the challenges it comes with; especially when dealing with revealing that part of yourself to other people. ]

Really? See now I think you're just showing off. [ His tone is teasing, and the wide smile makes it clear he's also egging her on just a little. Hey, from a guy who's used to flying thanks to the exo-wing suit; he wouldn't mind knowing what it feels like being in the air without it. ] You wanna give it a shot? I'm ready and willing, if so. [ He taps at the center of his chest; where his military dog tags clink a little beneath his shirt. A shirt that also has metal buttons, not to mention the metal of his belt, and a couple of sturdy metal rings he wears on the fingers of both his right and left hand. ]

So what if I am? [ Hers is also a teasing tone, what amounts to 'playful' from someone stuck in sarcasm mode. After a few more seconds of treating her metal bangle like it's actually just play-doh she flicks her wrist to snap it back around her wrist. The almost perfect way it slots back might give the impression she just might fiddle with it like this a lot.

Everyone needs a fidget toy, right? All the better when it's a handmade one.

She arches an eyebrow curiously. Both at his willingness and at that clink under his shirt. There's a familiar feel to those dog tags, one that she's felt a time or two around an ex-military friend of hers. ] You definitely have enough on you to make it easy. You sure you're willing to trust me in the air?

[falconings]

[ He notices the ease with which her bracelet snaps back around her wrist, and he can recognize a fidget object when he sees it. He does it with his dog tags sometimes, barely noticing it until someone points it out.

But he's not fidgeting now, he's just looking at her with a steady gaze and a grin as he nods. ] I mean, you're not gonna drop me right?

[ His tone is playful, light hearted. Joaquin thinks of himself as a fairly good judge of character, and it might be a bit of a risk, trusting her like this; but his instinct tells him she's not going to hurt him. She could, he's seen that much. But again, he trusts his gut feeling. ]

Yeah, I trust you. Let's do this.

[ferrokinetically]

Maybe. Ask anyone and they'll tell you I'm unpredictable. [ Is that the best thing in the world for her to be? Probably not, but it is the way she is. Would she actually drop him? Also a nah, but maybe she's having fun playing a bit. Letting a tiny smirk curl on the edges of her lips. ]

Hope you don't regret it. [ Never really can tell. Flight's always been the trick with her powers she's loved the most, something real special to her. She doesn't share it too often with others, doesn't really get the chance, but she's going to scoop it up while she can.

The mist appears on both hands, swirls around with greens and flickers of yellow, before reaching out to wrap around all of the metal he's got on him. They both lift off the ground together, rising higher and higher in a shockingly smooth motion. Her eyes trace his expression for any signs of what he might be thinking. If it's freaking him out or he's having a good time. Or something in between. ]
