❄ it's quiet and the snow's beautiful tonight → a winter open meme ‧ post with whatever character you want ‧ responders roll for weather + scenario and get to threading ‧ ??? ‧ profit snowfall; stage i; none, streets are already blanketed in white. stage ii; very light and intermittent. stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods. stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall. stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it. scenarios; ① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on. ② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do? ③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all. ④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!! ⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket. ⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips. ⑦ mix and match, or make up your own ‧:❉:‧

Stage 3 snow

Scott was standing at the empty bus station feeling paralyzed as he watches the lights of the last bus pull away. He didn't really leave right? Scott knew that Beacon Hills was a shitty place to live and they had both talked about relocting but he thought they would have done it together. So they had fought about something stupid again, he thinks it was laundry this time, but when he mate left the house and didn't come back for over an hour Scott had worried.

He followed Isaacs sent to the bus stop when the wind and snow picked up making it harder to locate him, but he couldn't pick up any scent of him. Surely he hadn't just left right? Scott doesn't feel the coldness sinking into his bones, he's just staring and pleading to himself that Isaac hadn't left him.

(He's a bit dramatic, what can I say lol)

[Bullymongs did not like blizzards. Bullymongs did not like much of anything, but blizzards put them in even more of a mood to rip things to pieces.

Provided they could catch you. Bullymongs couldn't see in a blizzard any better than normal humans could, and less well than someone with a good pair of night vision, infrared goggles and a good scope.

Zed was the only one left in this abandoned little town, but he'd been around to offer Maya a ladder up to his roof, where there was a little lean-to to keep out the worst of the wind, some hot drinks, and a sniper rifle for picking off bullymongs where they couldn't see you coming.]

It has been a very long time since I have had any visitors! Everyone seems to die before they get out as far as I have.

[There weren't many safe places in the castle to talk, with Umbridge's influence growing by the day. There weren't many safe places to read, either. Chihiro had counted herself lucky to even get this particular book out of the library.

But it was not the sort of book a first-year should be trying to puzzle out. She'd been trying her best, between homework and bed, but when she saw Hermione out on the grounds, in the snow, with apparently no one else around, it was an opportunity the little Gryffindor couldn't pass up.]

Isaac had thought of leaving, he really had. It just turns out that actually leaving everything behind when you finally realised you had something worth staying for is really hard. Instead he'd just walked for a while, snow soaking into his jacket and hair, feeling numb to the world.

He'd kept mostly to walking in circles, tracking his feet through the growing snowdrifts and then he circled the bus stop once more, only to find Scott sitting there. Isaac says nothing, but goes to join him on the bench.
