[This is stupid. This is really stupid. Why is it even happening to him? He never asked for this! It's a punishment. For leaving the library.]

'It'll be fun' he says. 'We'll find dates when we get there!' he says. Pah! You did this on purpose! [Wedgie whispers the last part harshly, practically spits it out through clenched teeth! Sharp teeth. Teeth that are incredibly close to Findlay's ear... because they are currently dancing.] Last time I ever listen to you without doing extensive and exhaustive research beforehand!

[wisper]

[ Findlay sighs, exasperated, eyes on where they're going as he leads. Wedgeley, as usual, is overreacting, and although it's amusing, he really ought to calm down. ]

It's really not a big deal. This is a polite courtesy to our hosts, not a diabolical plan to dance with a squirmy bookworm. -- Can you put the teeth away, please?

[wedgie]

HA! N-nah-- not... not a big deal. Not a big deal! [The laughing is a mix of nervousness, frantic stuttering, and humiliation! His grip on Findlay's tightens, as does the clenching of his jaw. The hand on Findlay's shoulder, however, seems to not want to be there in the least and is doing it's best impression of a dead fish, flopped there and hanging loosely.]

Polite courtesy would have been bringing a gift! Polite courtesy is not following ancient fae etiquette to a very specific T simply because one of us forgot to check which clan was hosting the event before asking the other to accompany them! [He makes a quiet squeaking sound, unable to adequately express his rage in a roomful of fae elders and potential patrons of his library.] ...And no! [He... can't put them away. He's too upset. It's a defense mechanism!]

Both of us forgot to check. [ Honestly, Wedgeley is the detail freak, it's surprising that he didn't look up the history of the damn building before venturing out of the library. ] One dance won't kill you. I'm not exactly enjoying this either.

You should have checked! [He trusted you, man! He didn't research the history of the building because you said you were friends! Friends don't let friends dance... with... each other. At parties. Fancy parties.]

You probably are! You are probably enjoying this immensely. You're just like the others, you all just love to torment me.

[wisper]

[ Have an 'oh please' look. ] Do you really think I'd go to all this trouble to humiliate you? [ Pls. ] How long has it been since you last danced, anyway?

[wedgie]

[Well... Wedgie sighs. No, he doesn't think Finn would pull something like that. At least not something this elaborate! The teeth slowly retract as he avoid's Finn's gaze, focusing on trying to make his steps a little less awkward. A blush quickly follows the second question.]

Wh-what ... makes you think it's been long? It's not long! Hasn't been long at all! I've danced... fairly recently. [Coughcough. Good thing Wisps don't have built in lie detectors. Wedgie, getting really drunk and taking off your shirt and falling off a table doesn't count as dancing.]
