There's nothing in the rules about whether or not your character knows s/he must obey - as well, the other character might not know that s/he must be obeyed. Play it however you like.

[He rises to his feet slowly, lazily and without having a choice about it.]

[HUGE FUCKING GRIN. Joy may be dumb, but she's not completely useless.]

[Alright, given that he just attacked one of the loves of his life over this, he hardly sees why the werewolf should get better treatment.]

[And Reynard leaps at her and immediately covers her mouth with one hand, while doing his best to keep her pinned.]

[Oh Reynard. You know she's too strong for that. She twists and rolls out from under him quickly.] Stop! Stop moving. [That order given, she refines it a little.] Just stand there normally. Don't attack me again. [She knows he'll squirm out of it any way he can, so she's trying to close loopholes.] And don't try to leave until I say you can.

[He might know that, but damn it, logic doesn't really play into this. He makes an angry sound as she keeps taking his options away and finally he shifts, right where he is, form of fox instead of man. Still growling.]

Nuh uh, no. Shift back to human form and stay that way. Until I say otherwise.

[smugfox]

"Fuck you." Reynard flicked her off as soon as he had shifted back, then he ran a hand through his hair and arched an eyebrow. "Like me better this way, huh?"

[bottlefairy]

[Shrug.] My wolf would tear apart your fox, and I don't want to deal with killing you.

[smugfox]

Coward. [Because riling up someone who had the upper hand was always a smart thing to do.] It's not 'my fox', it is me, don't drag me into your self-hatred and lack of ability to just accept what you are. I'm a fox, that's all there is to it.

[bottlefairy]

[She glares fiercely. Ooh, sore spot.] Don't defend yourself or try to hit me back. [Order given, she walks up and punches him in the jaw, popping the clutch and giving it all the strength she's got. Lesser people have had their jaws broken by that punch. She steps back before he can find a way around the order.]

Fuck you. I wasn't born what I am like you, I was attacked and watched my family killed in front of me to become what I am. The wolf isn't "me," it's the fucking remnant of the worst thing that has ever happened to me. [Joy's not sure if she's ever said all that to him at once, but fuck it. He provoked it.] Forgive me if I'm not all fucking zen about it.

[He twitches at that order, since it went against his very nature, but there wasn't much he could do, with the orders already in place. He did make use of what loophole he had, flinching away in time to soften the blow just the tiniest bit. It would still bruise, but at least nothing was broken.]

A fucking remnant that's part of what you're now. Don't be zen about it on my account, I think it makes for a wonderful button to push. I'm not offering free therapy or anything, would be stupid to do so, when you offer your weakness up like that. I love getting to people.

[Yeah that's not smart. The next thing he's getting is a vicious knee to the balls.]

[Yeah, he's just going to fall on his knees now, thank you very much, bitch. Possibly curling up a bit and there might be whimpering. His pain threshold isn't that great even at the best of times and this is very, very far from anything resembling a good time.]
