THE TRAIN MEME

You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you...

No, wait. You're on a train. It could be a subway, an L train, a light rail, or even an old-style steam train. Wherever you are, though, your trip is not going to be what you expected when you got on board.

Everyone knows how this works by now: post a comment, tag around, have some fun. You can roll for a random option in the list or just pick one, and as long as both parties like it there should be some good times. Right? Right.

1) STOPPED TRAIN: The train broke down. Or another train did, and that's blocking the tracks. Or maybe a sinkhole opened and swallowed half of the next station. It could be caused by any number of things, but all you know is that you aren't moving any time soon.

2) FIGHT SCENE: Remember all those superhero movies where there's a fight involving a train or subway car? Where the villain rips off half of the train and swings it at the hero, who has to save all those poor innocent people? Or where Superman has to pretend to be part of the tracks so that the train doesn't derail? Yeah. That's what just happened to your train. Hold on tight.

3) TRAIN BATTLE: Okay, so maybe you're the one responsible for the train being ripped apart. Or did you just get into a gunfight in the middle of a crowded car? It could be that you had to duck outside and now you're running along the top of the train. Be sure to duck when you see low-hanging obstacles!

4) RUNAWAY TRAIN: Oh, no! Something went terribly wrong and now you're hurtling along the tracks at a high rate of speed! Can you save the day? Or will you just curl up under your seat and hope for the best?

5) RUNNING LATE: Not all stressful situations are terrible disasters. Maybe the trains are just running a bit behind schedule and you're in a hurry for whatever reason. Hopefully it's because you're late for work and not because your water just broke.

6) CRIME SPREE: Butch Cassidy is holding up the train! Or maybe some punk kid just swiped your iPhone out of your hand and ran away. It could be that you're in the middle of an Orient Express-style murder mystery. Or maybe that supervillain decided not to destroy the train and is just holding everyone hostage.

7) BEWARE OF PERVERTS: A crowded train car does seem to attract people who want to get in a quick grope. Or take an upskirt photo while the victim is distracted. Or someone just decided to indulge in a bit of exhibitionism. Are you going to be silent or speak up?

8) DISASTER: That giant earthquake just hit. Or the apocalypse/alien invasion just arrived. And since you were on the train when it happened, it looks like you're trapped inside your car. If you're in the subway, well, enjoy being inside a dark tunnel. If you're on an elevated train, let's hope the tracks are sturdy.

9) UPCOMING DISASTER: The driver just noticed a car stalled on the crossing, a bridge out ahead, or a herd of cows wandering across the tracks. Or there's a wall of water rushing down the subway tunnel toward you. The disaster hasn't quite happened yet, but it's only a matter of (very little) time.

Elle was sitting on one of the benches in the subway, legs crossed, latest cosmo was in he hands as she flipped through it reading the latest ways to get your man revved up as darkness outside the widow flew by. She felt a tiny shake, but just passed it off as something on the tracks. She actually gasp when the next shake was more powerful, making her hair fly around as her body jerked back and forth.

Gabriel was slouched back in one of the seats, it was a normal day, and he was slowly starting to find normal grating. He might have deserved it but that didn't make it any worse.

A small earthquake wouldn't have bothered him, but when the jolt was strong enough to jostle him from out of his seat, then it becomes something far more concerning. He regained himself, and he sat himself right in the seat and he looked over towards Elle. "Are you okay?"

He looked around the train; perhaps there was someone there like him. The only two people he knew that had this ability were Samuel and Peter.

Before she had a chance to answer, there was a loud rumbling and suddenly the cab started to shake, lights flickered, red lights flashed, the rattling got so bad, Elle ended up on the floor then everything was silent and dark.

"Fuck," Elle hissed she wasn't good in closed dark places, granted she could orb a light to see, but there was a few people here and she was always trying to be careful with her powers for no one would come after them. Traveling together if noticed would throw a few flags up with people she didn't want to ever see again.

"Gabe" she breathed out, scrabbling to stand off the grimy floor. "If my pants are ruined..." she threatened but then stop, cause it was stupid to threaten something that had no one to blame for.

As the rumbling got worse, Gabriel found himself holding on tight to the seat in front of him to avoid ending up on the floor. And, then it had to go dark. He didn't mind the dark, and he was rather used to operating in it.

Once, the rumbling stopped, and Gabriel held up his hand to allow it to begin to glow. He didn't regret obtaining, induced radiation again.

"I'm sure there's more than just your pants you want to worry about." He stepped out from his seat, and he looked at the people around them. It could have been a bomb, or a gas explosion that trigger the earthquake. The lack of any communication that came from the front of the subway car troubled him, and he took in a deep breath. "We're going to need to help get these people out, and we're going to need to find away back up to the surface."

Elle wasn't use to being the helper, she was the cause of destroying things most of the time. But when he started to glow, she shifted up since she could see and suddenly she was a glow, a small ball which grew brighter now, "Alright, you see if you can get us off this death trap and I'll see if anyone is hurt."

There were a few grasps as she moved away from Sylar, he had the hardest job since he had healing ability.

He didn't argue, and there was no room to argue. "Just make sure you don't let them get in my way." Gabriel kept glowing long enough to give Elle a chance to get the people before he was going to get to work on pulling the train apart.

This should prove to be an interesting task, and while he might be powerful, and using one's mind to pull apart a subway car is no simple task.

"On it babe," she called over her shoulder, her own blue light illuminating the cab now, "Anyone hurt?" she called out over the murmuring and gasping, some where crying.

She sighed, Elle was never the people person, "Everyone please remain calm, we are going to get you out of here, but you need to stay calm."

There were people who were thrown from the seat of the subway car, and with this meant there were various injuries from cuts and bruises, broken bones, and even a man trying to gasp out as he grasped his chest with a look of panic on his face. "Help!" A neighboring passenger that cried out follows this. "This man is having a heart attack!" She tried to shout over the cries of the panicked passengers.

Gabriel looked at Elle, and then over towards the direction of the woman. He took in a deep breath, and so much for this going smoothly. Things didn't always go smooth, and with a sigh. "Try and help her with him, and I'll work on getting us away out."

She saluted him, started to climb over people, cause Elle was rude like that. "We have a doctor in the house, cause you have a lot of people waiting for you." Elle always had to make light of situations cause that's how she was. She was finally reached the lady, she knew some cpr, but she did have her fingers. "Okay lady, loosen up his collar," Elle smiled at the man, "Sure, we are here to help you, please try to remain calm." Her voice was very robotic, but that was how she was taught CPR.

The woman and her were helping the man, she would called out everyone once and while, "How you doing?"
