The Ghost Meme

Welcome to the meme where the dead meet the living. One of you is a breathing meatsack and the other is a wandering spirit, and for some reason fate has brought you together. Post your name/canon, then use the RNG to pick a scenario or choose for yourself. Multiple scenarios are also totally cool. Blank comments will be damned to wander for eternity.

I. Dead
1. Poltergeist - The afterlife is for squares. You just want to rattle the cupboards and drop buckets of water on people...or something a bit more hazardous.
2. Forgetful Ghost - Dead? What are they talking about, of course you're still alive. Maybe walls aren't as solid as they used to be but you're still going about business as usual.
3. Vengeful Spirit - You've suffered, and you want to make sure everyone else knows your pain. Intimately. Go raise some hell.
4. Unfinished Business - There's something you still need to do and you can't move on until it's finished. Let's see if the living can help the dead.
5. Happily Dead - You don't have any anger management issues or leftover to-dos, you're just peacefully haunting your resting place. Being ghostly doesn't mean being rude.
6. Wildcard

II. Living
1. Ghosthunter - The ghost didn't come to you, you went to the ghost. Maybe you're there to banish it to the afterlife, maybe you're there to film it for a low-budget SciFi channel show. Hold the camera steady.
2. Psychic - You see dead people everywhere you go. It's a gift or a curse depending on how you look at it, but this is just an average day for you.
3. New Resident - Boy, this Victorian house/grubby apartment/abandoned insane asylum sure was a bargain. There may be some slight problems with creaking floorboards and agonized screaming, but it's nothing a little DIY won't fix.
4. Ghost's Helper - For some reason this ghost really needs you. You're the descendent of its murderer, or the only one who can complete the ritual that will set it free.
5. Innocent Victim - You had nothing to do with this. The ghost just really hates your guts. Time to get an old priest and a young priest.
6. Wildcard

She'd traded the sepia-toned history of Vienna and the ghost in the wine for Brussels, Berlin. Neither lasted. She kept moving, and like a moth found herself drawn to Paris, closer and closer to the late Irene Adler's home and memories of London. She told herself this was as close as she would get, that she loved Paris in spring, that as long as she was discreet, Paris was no more dangerous than Amsterdam, than Venice or Rome.

Still, she was blonde now, in Paris. Staring out at the city in the fading light of day. It smelled of flowers and petrol and life, and the late Irene Adler watched it all from the wrought iron balcony of her hotel room, leaning against the rail.

She was melancholy again. But the wine remained unopened.

[On Berk, you couldn't take a step without finding a viking that believed in some pretty....interesting things. A lot were really set deep into their ways, and some even more so. That apparently included the paranormal, but THAT was only reserved for the real loose headed villagers. Not that it was a terrible thing to think about, but most everyone else seemed to dismiss things like ghosts as old folk tales to scare children.

Hiccup of all people would be the last person to believe in ghosts, much less believe the rumors of a ghost haunting the island this very moment. If he didn't see it with his own eyes, it just didn't exist. But still....word spreads like wildfire, so one can't help but notice everyone beginning to get antsy as the days and weeks go by.

The young viking can't bring himself to be convinced. He's heard talk of someone being sent to somehow get rid of the ghost, or destroy it somehow. How silly. Even IF ghosts were real, how would one even go about dispelling one in the first place??

That's what the boy mulls over as he sits by himself in the Great Hall, reading the Dragon Manual by the light of a few torches. It's storming a bit outside, so he really should get back home...but it's not like he hasn't spent time alone out here before.
And he's pretty convinced he is, in fact, alone.

Most vikings keep coming to him, asking him to hunt down this specter and get rid of it. The only thing Hiccup can say to that is good luck finding something that doesn't exist.

It was just that someone had invented some kind of machine and once it got activated all living things on the whole planet got turned into spirits. Allen for one would like to get his body back, but that was a bit hard for him to do. Mordred doesn't remember much of anything save for the look on Arthur's face, when their blades clashed for the final time.
