Compulsive Truth Telling meme

Dignity? Modesty? Propriety? Being able to keep secrets? These things are someone else's problem now that your character has been somehow given a super dose of truth serum. No matter what they do, they cannot help but tell the truth. They are compelled to do it and, by God, nothing's gonna stop. Nothing can stop them.

How to:

→ Post with your character . . . who has just been dosed with the ultimate magical truth serum, blurting out something they would otherwise lie about or keep secret. Maybe they are in the middle of spouting off an unpopular opinion, an embarrassing personal fact or admitting to a favorite sexual position or partner? Run wild the idea. Just . . .
→ DO NOT LEAVE YOUR COMMENT BLANK. It's your character and their secret.
→ Other characters reply with their reactions. Shenanigans ensue!
→ If confronted with a question, your character MUST answer all of them honestly.
→ Have fun and be excellent to each other.

[To say she is uncomfortable hearing that come out of the mouth of her baby brother while they had been having such a nice, normal afternoon before hand is understatement of the year.]

[Sam looks at his sister, confused for a moment before his eyes go wide.]

Did I say that out loud?

[She's still looking a little traumatized. There are things she needs to know about Sam and things she doesn't. This goes into the category of things she'd much rather pretend he didn't even know about.]

Yeah you could say that. Anything else you want to get out of your system here before I finish my burger? If you're going to have any more of these outbursts I'd prefer they not become a choking hazard.

[And now Sam's really concerned. Because while he teases his sister on her choice of food, he's never really admitted why it bothers him so much. Until now. Which means something's forcing him to tell the truth.]

{Well that just earns him a glower. Deanna will put up with a lot of crap, but you do not take away her burgers and pie. That is just unacceptable.]

[She takes another bite of her ultra greasy third pounder with bacon, mushrooms, cheese and lots of the amazing special sauce from the diner down the road and moans dramatically in appreciation. Just to drive her point home.]

[They hadn't come across witches in months, and their most recent case had been a straight forward haunting.]

No. Just that when you ask me a question, it's like I have to answer. I don't have a choice. And I have to tell the truth.

[The look in her eyes is trouble and nothing but. A light goes off and it's almost unholy how eager she looks. She can ask questions and Sam is compelled to tell the truth no matter what she asks? She licks her lips a bit in excitement and tries not to make her smile too creepy.]

Oh, really? Any question? The complete truth?

[Sam should have known it would come to this. Deanna is his sister, after all. Why wouldn't she take advantage of this? He glares at her, but he has no choice but to answer.]

[She bites her bottom lip, tries to ignore how pissed off her brother looks and pushes aside her burger before plopping her elbows on the table and resting her chin in her hands. She's looking far too eager and she smiles at him sweetly, far too innocently.]

[Deanna shakes her head and seriously? Sometimes she wonders what the hell was wrong with that kid. Though that wasn't something she didn't know. She'd been the one to drag him out of there and buy him an ice cream later.]

[ooc: Sneaky bastards. I have no preference. I'm all caught up on the show so anything is really fine if there's something you'd like to go with.]

I'm scared. I'm scared that I'm not strong enough to keep saying no to Lucifer. I'm scared that I'm going to be the reason the world ends.

[Well shit, now she feels bad. It's not like she meant to drag out his insecurities and she does know that he's scared. Hell he'd be stupid not to be. She reaches out and grabs his hand, giving it a supportive squeeze.]

Hey, I'm scared too. It will be alright though. It's gotta. We're gonna do this, okay? Lucifer is not gonna wear you to the prom.

[His sister's touch is immensely comforting, and it doesn't hurt to hear that she's scared too. If nothing else, they have each other in this messed up world, and that's enough for Sam.]

Okay so asking you potentially embarrassing questions got old fast. How do we fix this?

I don't know. I must have touched something that was cursed. Unless you pissed someone off and they took it out on me.

I didn't piss someone off! Too bad we can't blame this one on Gabriel.

Are you sure? You didn't blow anyone off who was really irritated about it?

So far as I can tell the only people pissed at us lately are the god squad for not hosting their formal.
