You enter the elevator with only one other person on it. Twenty seconds into the ride and it stops. The power is stuck. The doors won't open, you're between floors, and no one is answering your calls. You're stuck with this person for an unknown amount of time.

[When Vamp found Raiden in generic apartment building #5, there was only one thing to be done- a final final battle to the death. They'd both agreed on it, so the only thing left was to make it to the roof. What good would the final battle be if they didn't have it on the roof? That decided, the two stepped into the elevator and Vamp pressed the button for the roof. Unfortunately, the elevator stopped about twenty seconds later.]

Huh? [Raiden was about to continue when then, a moment later...the lights shut off.]

Uh... [He looks over towards Vamp, an awkward silence in the air.

What a way to dampen a final, decisive battle this was.]

[If he was going to go out, he wanted to go out with a dramatic flare. Dying in a broken elevator simply isn't acceptable. Vamp glances back at Raiden before pressing the 'open' button repeatedly. Predictably, nothing happens.]

If I had known what sort of establishment this was, I would have suggested taking the stairs.

[He feels almost embarrassed, having been the one to suggest this final showdown in the first place.]

You know... [Raiden sounds bored, all "enthusiasm" he had quickly gone down the drain.]

I think this is why the US doesn't negotiate with terrorists. [He snorts and then steps forward, placing his fingers between the doors.] I've got this.

[Scraaaaap! And the doors are open, albeit a bit dented.

Albeit there's a goddamn brick wall in the way.]

Great.

The true terrorists are the owners of this apartment complex.

[As irritating as this situation may be, there is something to be said for Raiden's tone of voice when he sees a brick wall on the other side of the doors.]

Can't even punch through a brick wall? How do you suppose you'll win this battle, hm?

Can't argue with that. [He shakes his head a bit, and then stops to shoot Vamp a deadpanned gaze.]

I could, sure, but it wouldn't lead us anywhere.

[As if to emphasize the fact he could, Raiden pulled a fist back and punched the wall. It cracked, and then partially crumpled in from the center.]

[Hmmm.]

I suppose we must wait for it to start again on its own.

[Vamp pulls out his phone and taps the screen a few times. No, he isn't live tweeting about this event, mind your own business.]

[Raiden grumbles and then merely crosses his arms to wait in silence.

...Until his curiosity gets the better of him, and he scoots back and tries to see what Vamp is doing on his phone.

SHOULDER SURFER!!!]

[It takes Vamp a few seconds to realize what Raiden is doing. Grumbling, he tries to cover the screen with one hand while continuing to tap at it with the other.

Why don't you have a phone of your own? Surely you have something better to do than look over his shoulder?]

[Raiden keeps on staring, inching around to get a better view when Vamp tries to shield him.

No he doesn't have a phone, okay. His codec also hovers around in mid-air or maybe that's just for the player's benefit and lets everybody see what he's talking about so that's not going to work.]

[They end up scooting around the elevator as Vamp tries to keep Raiden away but Raiden continues to follow him.

In the end, he pulls up some rather explicit photos of men and purposefully moves his shoulder in a way that will allow Raiden to see the phone's screen.]

Euugh--! [Raiden backs up, shaking his head to try and erase the image. Normally he might say something about not looking at stuff like that in public...but he couldn't let Vamp know he was watching him!]

[Ooh this is his favorite one. Did you see it, Raiden? That exclamation is evidence enough of that. Vamp glances up from the phone, smirking.]

Is there something wrong?

Yeah, didn't your mother ever teach you not to look at pornography in public?

[Rude much. Ruder than Raiden shoulder surfering for sure.]

[Don't talk about his mother, you big metal bastard.]

I hardly care about the petty morals of this world.

[Ah but if Raiden hadn't been shoulder surfing he wouldn't have seen the images!]

If I were you, I'd be more concerned about dying... soon.

[Whenever this damn elevator starts back up.]
