Rain, rain, everywhere. You wake up in the street. Around you is the smell of water, and of something darker. Something more foul. It just won't quit raining, on all sides the buildings are deserted. You're in a town, that much is clear. But you don't know much else. It's unclear how you got here, and you have the uncomfortable sense that you aren't alone...
SCENARIOS
1. Suddenly, the rain seems to be getting heavier. Are those... monsters coming out of the shadows?
2. Heading inside is always a safer option. Or is it?
3. That subway entrance looks pretty tempting. Always nice to get out of the rain. But where exactly does it lead? Only one way to find out.
4. One of you is hurt, and badly. It's a good thing there are inexplicably first aid kits scattered in various places. The hard part is finding one... especially with your companion bleeding to death.
5. WILDCARD. Create your own scenario.
RULES
1. post a comment with your character's name and canon in the subject line
2. tag everyone else
3. RNG or just pick a scenario and roll with it
Spock - Star Trek 2009/OTA/Any option
He was running. The entire away team had been scattered...and killed. His Captain though... he was still out there. The rain was deafening, and the lightening that lit the sky kept reminding Spock of what had transpired.
Jim had, against Spock's wishes, protected him once more from near death. The Vulcan barely glimpsed blood as the Captain fell, but it was too late...he was pulled away by these Gorn-like creatures that inhabited the planet. It was only now that Spock, having destroyed his would-be captors, could look for his Captain.
The Vulcan attempted to feel for him...]
Jim!?

[Spock's wishes or not, he was not allowing his First or his T'hy'la come between him and harm. Not when he could take it himself. Maybe it was 'illogical' and maybe Spock wouldn't be in such a position had he taken the blow instead but you know what that didn't happen so there was little point in playing the what if game. He had precious little energy to think about getting out.
Damn... damn monsters. Like damn fucking dinosaurs they were, roaring and reering and howling. It was like a bad acid trip except everything felt of agony instead of even a hint of pleasure. He hissed, feeling his tissue come apart, spitting into little valleys. His blood pooled into them, warming them into a strange comforting numbness. He knew that was the endorphins but it was a morbid sort of pleasure. He hadn't explored himself in this sense before.
He was alone in a corner of a room, unsure where exactly. Only that it was dark and the rain was so damn loud he couldn't hear a damn thing. Well he couldn't hear much of anything over the pain he was in. Nothing was really getting through to him. Faintly he thought about his training and how his remaining crew needed him to not give into the agony. His body would bleed out in short order if he did.
Besides, trying to get out was a welcome distraction.]
...Please tell me you're close.

[Spock was heaving as he ran through the rain, past the stone buildings that served as homes.
He knew he was close...
The Vulcan skidded around a corner and was met with more of the lizards outside what must be Jim's holding place.
Spock charged his phaser and ran at them with a yell.]
no subject
[No. No time or energy to describe the torture he'd undergone. Besides, in time Spock would be here and he'd see for himself]
Please be careful... though that goes without saying
[The creature huffed at him, steam rising from its body. It hunkered down, ready to take the blow of a meager human, ready to slap Spock away like a fly.]
no subject
Utilizing Suus Mahna, the Vulcan was able to break a few necks before the lizards realized what they were up against. Spock fired at them with his phaser...]
Just, stay with me Jim. Keep talking to me. [The Vulcan was getting panicked... he could feel Jim draining away.]
no subject
You're really... going at it out there aren't you? I can hear-- woah, nevermind, I can feel it
[One of the lizards went slamming into the other side of the wall Jim was leaned against, jolting him from the outside of the building. It slumped uselessly as did many of its fellows. Soon the path was clear and the headquarters was exposed, as well as its prisoner who currently lay bleeding to death on the floor of their torture chamber.
There were many torture devices, tables, chairs, all hooked up with various screws, blades, wires, clamps, and saws. Most of them were covered in dried blood, some of them had pools of fresh red growing stagnant in them. Other than that, there was little telling what was used on Jim. He was merely thrown into a corner after he refused to talk and left to die. His chest opened with a gaping red hole, blood was staining his golden shirt. His arms sported various stripes of red, from scratches to gashes.
His arm was visibly broken along with a few ribs. Something was stabbed into his calf, a blade? A bone? Who knew.]
Okay I'm talking. I'm talking, what do you want me to say? I... you're right I gotta... keep talking. Okay... ah... what... colors can I name. Uhm.... red... green.... blue... black.... [His fatigue was showing, his mind was growing weary.]

The Vulcan took a moment to wonder at the hold in the wall...until his eyes found Jim.]
Ekon! [Spock swore as he landed wetly beside his bleeding T'hy'la...
How could he get Jim to the Enterprise on time? Time...time! He needed time! God... Jim was flirting with death once more and they had no communicators. They had to wait until the Enterprise found them.
First thing Spock did was set his phaser rifle to overcharge until it started to spark... perhaps their genius crew could find them sooner...
Then the Vulcan turned to Jim.]
Captain! I need you to speak.... rank and serial number.
no subject
Sp...Spock the... Phaser. Help me up. [Spock's voice, was he upset. Was he hurt? Where was the crew? They had to get out... Wait. Serial number?]
SC... 93...7...
no subject
We are not in danger. [Spock tossed the phaser outside in the rain where it could blow up if it wanted to.
The Vulcan needed to tend to Jim's injuries immediately. Spock looked around for anything he could use when he noticed various linens on a shelf on the other side of the room.
Ensuring they were clean enough, Spock tore them into strips and approached Jim once more.]
This might hurt Jim... [...and proceeded to tightly wrap the gashes on his arms.]
no subject
[He grunted as he was bandaged up and in minutes he was bleeding through the dressings.]
... How bad... is it?
Are you ok?
no subject
[Spock worked on Jim's arms.... but paused when at the sight of the break.
The Vulcan ripped open Jim's shirt and wadded the linen into it... pressing then wrapping a long piece around his ribs.
He knew there were broken ribs, but he had to stop the bloodflow...at least his lungs remained clear.]
It is... not good Jim. The Enterprise might be some time in collecting us.
no subject
[He stopped then as his mind erupted with pain. White hot sizzling pain that lingered, fading slow like a burn. He audibly moaned, a sound of miserable agony.]
Mnnnghh... Nnngh... God...dammit
[He panted, heaved... And his breath began to crackle.]
no subject
[Spock's brows twitched in concern as he took notice of Jim's vitals...
...no good. Too much blood had been lost... but he needed to stem the flow...but Jim was in so much pain.]
Jim... I know it hurts... but I need you to calm yourself. [Spock took hold of Jim's hand and concentrated....
...and relieved Jim of some of his pain.]
Breath normally...
no subject
Calm!? You want me calm!? Dammit Spock I... You're doing something.... no. No stop it, get away from me. Whatever you're doing stop it.
[He couldn't take the pain truly, it was threatening to kill him or force him to pass out. He was so pale already and he was woozy, sluggish, things stopped making sense and his body just felt heavy.
And he had to cough. Something was in his throat like he had a cold... he hacked a bit, coughing up spittle. Only he had no idea the spittle was red.]
no subject
Jim... if you do not attempt to breath normally... your chances of survival decreases significantly.
[That was difficult for Spock to say... He stared at Jim, worry in his eyes.]
Oxygen is imperative for you right now... So please Ashaya...
no subject
I am trying! I just... there's something in my throat
[Indeed, when Jim tried to breath, his air pipe was blocked with something, something that crackled the sound of air flow and inevitably interrupted it with a loud cough. Jim bucked, sending red droplets shooting out his mouth. Heavy drops of blood lingered on his lips, flowing down his chin to stain his shirt.]
Ugh.....oh god...
[He wasn't sure what he was coughing up and since Spock had blocked his pain, kind a gesture as that was, it was up to the vulcan to feel what had happened. Jim's rib had indeed pierced his lung. Perhaps in Spock's efforts to staunch the bleeding, perhaps when Jim was struggling, it was unclear and it didn't matter. In short order his lung was failing. Air was escaping in between the lining of the lung and his chest and fluid was replacing it inside. Blood in exchange for oxygen. Every breath he took would simply help put pressure on the outside of his lung and deflate it... which was rather excruciating but Jim wasn't aware. He did as he was told and tried, no, struggled for air.]
no subject
One of your lungs has been pierced Jim.... you are drowning in your own blood. Attempt to calm yourself... breath shallowly if you have to.
[The Vulcan twitched every time his Captain tried to take a painful breath...
Was this going to be his last moments with his T'hy'la? Spock whispered to Jim in Vulcan... telling him how much he cared for him.]
no subject
You got a hell of a comforting bedside manner you know that?
....
Don't... no don't. Spock... I'm dying. Don't...
[Don't try to save him. It's over. He knew the survival stats about pierced lungs and normally he wouldn't give that the time of day but he was feeling his breath get thinner, his eyes darkened, his body grew so very heavy. He was dying, he knew it.]
...You did everything you could, Spock. It's ok...
no subject
He was not about to lose Jim.]
No, do not say those words. Stay with me.
[The rain poured outside.... pounding on their shelter filled with horrors. Spock placed a hand on Jim's face...]
Do not leave me.... please...
no subject
Spock I don't want to leave you but I don't think I have a choice.
[His end of the bond spoke warmly and with humor.]
You're gonna be okay. It'll be hard, I know but I want you to live on, alright? Don't give up...
[he took Spock's hand and weakly lifted it to his lips]
I love you.
no subject
The pain that he had taken from Jim was numbing.... and that only meant one thing...]
Jim....Jim!
no subject
......
[He seemed to be fading away when suddenly... there was a rescue party. There was light and there was Bones and suddenly there were bodies all around them. Enterprise bodies. Bustling and scrambling to collect the captain and Spock and get back to the ship. It was all over in a few minutes with Bones pulling Jim away from the commander]
Spock... I need you to let go of him.
no subject
Is...
Is he...? [He couldn't finish that sentence...Spock's mind was numb, and he didn't know what was happening.]
no subject
Not yet but only just. Come on. [There was no time and McCoy worked fast, getting Jim worked on in seconds. It all happened so fast. They were on the ship and then Jim disappeared to Medical with McCoy. And then... it was time to hurry up and wait]
no subject
But he wasn't going back to his rooms until he heard from Jim...so the Vulcan waited.
...and waited.
Spock slid down the bulkhead wall to sit on the floor.]
