Goin' to the Chapel

Want to RP a wedding? Want to RP something on the path to the wedding? Then this is your meme! Here's how it works:
1. Leave a comment here stating your character's name, series, your preferences, etc.
2. Find someone else to comment to.
3. Using the RNG, pick one of the following prompts.
4. Enjoy yourself!
1. Popping the Question. You've been together long enough, and you're sure the other person loves you just as deeply as you love them, and that that will not change. It's time to ask them to marry you. I hope they accept!
2. Meeting Your Spouse. Unlike the previous prompt, you didn't choose your spouse; rather, someone else chose them for you, and it's time to meet them. Will there be a spark between the two of you, or is this marriage doomed to unhappiness?
3. Choosing the Venue. Where will you get married? The church you've belonged to ever since you were a child? A luxury hotel? Down on the beach? We'll leave it up to you to decide!
4. Making the Guest List. Who will you invite? Who will you not invite? It's time for the two of you to work that out!
5. Engagement Party. It's you, your fiancé(e), and a group of your closest friends. Make sure to properly celebrate this occasion!
6. The Quarrel. Uh-oh, the two of you can't agree on something! You'd better work it out quickly, or who knows -- one of your fathers may pay for relationship counseling and make you work it out there!
7. The Bachelor(ette) Party. WOOOOO! This is your last night before tying the knot, so let's make sure this era of your life goes out in STYLE! Get your friends together! Bring on the booze! Get the exotic dancers in here! But...make sure you don't go too far, all right? Tomorrow's a big day, after all.
8. The Wedding. The day has finally come. Are you waiting at the altar for your spouse-to-be? Are you coming down the aisle? Where are you? Is it where you wanted to be? Regardless, this is a momentous occasion. Make sure to make it memorable enough to remember for the rest of your lives.
9. The Reception. The main event's over, now on to the party! Dance with your new spouse, or let a member of the wedding party say a few words over a glass of champagne. Cut the cake! Pull out the karaoke machine! This is your first party as a married couple, so enjoy it!
10. Guess What? We Eloped! Is the stress of all this getting to you? Well, there's one solution -- run off and elope! I hear the wedding chapels in Vegas are numerous and ornate...
11. The Wedding Night. The wedding is over, and you're both back in your room, and out of your wedding clothes. Will you just enjoy each other's presence? Will you go straight to sleep? Or will you take this chance to consummate the marriage?
12. The Next Morning. Last night, you went to bed together. This morning, you wake up together. Perhaps you want to stay in bed a little longer and snuggle closer to your spouse. Or maybe you want to wake up and make them breakfast before they wake up!
13. The Honeymoon. Welcome to paradise! The two of you are now celebrating your recent marriage by taking a vacation. Where will you go? Are you a beach person or a mountains person?
14. Wild Card. Roll again, pick any of the above, or create your own scenario!
1
But then again, maybe it's about time to pop the question, right? You've already been together for a while, and it's just time to make that extra step! And just look at how Kotomi is just sitting there, staring out of the window as if she's doing nothing but daydreaming, clearly now is the right time, so go for it! ]
wait why does he have to be the one proposing!!?
Even now he has his doubts. Maybe he should let it go. It's Kotomi, if he says nothing she won't notice, she probably won't say anything either. Will she be able to live until they are older and older without ever considering it herself? But even if she considers it, she probably wouldn't say a thing. And even Ikki knows that it's supposed to be the guy doing the proposition so... She won't say anything. Ever. Would that be fair? To remain with her, because he wants to remain with her, to love her for as long as he lives, without "tying the knot"? It wouldn't, it would be cruel and it would feel as if he's trapping her somehow, because he's not selfless enough or a good enough person to just let her go and find happiness with another man.
But is it really okay to ask her? He's a Saint, no matter where, no matter when, no matter how much he loves her, she won't be the only woman in his life and he will have to serve Athena regardless of his own status. Is it fair for her to push her to such a life? Even if he tries to keep her away from getting involved she would still have to face her husband leaving God knows when to go to fight... To go to die for another woman, for humanity's sake. Even if he's the Phoenix and he returns from his own ashes, it takes time, she would be all alone during those times. alone and waiting for his return, not knowing what happened to him. He doesn't even consider the idea of a family, that would be even worse.
So no option is fair or good for her, is it? It all comes down to an option that would cause pain for both and maybe, just maybe, give her happiness in the distant future... Or an option that may give them happiness now but probably pain in the future. He really should have turned around and left the moment he had the chance, long ago, before they got together. That would have been the right option for both of them.]
Kotomi-chan, anything interesting out there?
because I like to make you work and.. can you even imagine kotomi proposing.. 8|
[ She seems to be snapped out of her thoughts at that - a little though, never fully as she always somewhat seems to live in her own world. But enough to notice him and turn her head at least, he even used 'Kotomi-chan', after all. For a few moments she stares at him curiously before shaking her head a little, fully unaware of his whole thought process. ]
There's nothing big happening.. I was just watching. [ And with that she turns her head again, directing her gaze out of the window once more. ]
There are some butterflies flying around..
she could just hand him a book about marriage, that would work
[He hates small talk, it's not his thing. But when he's racking his brain with how to approach the subject he can't help it. Besides, it's Kotomi, if he doesn't talk she will just forget he's there again.]
AHAHAHAHA just straight to the point, I see..
Hmm, I do. They're very pretty, the way they're flying around in the sun.. Almost as if they're dancing in the air. [ She sounds rather content. ]
it's her style best, isn't it?
He keeps looking at her back, thinking, trying to imagine the future something he has never bothered with before. He lived for the present, tossing the past away the best way he could and ignoring the future until it was under his feet. It was easier that way and he had enough to worry about anyway, worry about the past or the future was useless. But here he is now, worrying about the future, just because of this girl. This oblivious forgetful and shy girl who knows even less of social interactions than him, who thinks that objects can be best friends and who believes anything she's told despite reading that much. An annoying, troublesome girl that he wanted to hold in his arms forever, protect her and he with her more than he has ever wanted to do even with Esmeralda or with Shun. How did she manage to get inside his skin so easily? To the point of making him think about marriage and the future... It's annoying. He really should end this.]
Kotomi-chan. If up until now your life had been a story in a book and the end of the book was approaching, leaving your future open ended for the reader to decide what would happen... How would you like the book to end? On a sad note that hinted for a future happiness or a happy end that could still turn out sad in the future?
[That's not too confusing, is it? Then again, why is he bothering with asking? It's not a matter of what she wants, but of what's best for her, isn't it?]
yes, it's exactly what she would do if she could ever bring herself to be non-oblivious enough..
The end of a book..? [ Having considered it she fully turns around - she was leaning on the windowsill but now she's just sitting there on the ground, barefeet as usual and staring at him. ]
I think.. I'd like a happy end better. Because even if it might get sad in the future, it means that if a happy end was reached once, it could happen again and again, until all of the sad things are gone.
no subject
The happy ending, huh?
[Of course she says that, she doesn't know better so she will choose the happy ending and cling to the idea that happiness can be attained again and again. That sadness and pain can eventually be beaten out. She doesn't know how hard pain and sadness hit. She can say that now but in the future, after years of enduring it, would she think the same? Even if she stayed, would she be happy or be drown in sadness? Always waiting, without knowing if he would even return or when, never knowing for how long he was going to be there with her before he left again.]
And if the book was ending now, if this was the final scene, do you think it would need something for it to be a happy ending?
no subject
[ And there goes that other weird side of her again, the genius side that can recite practically anything she read in a book instantly.. but she nods to herself after it, as if she's confirming it's really true.
That makes her stand up too, before slowly walking over to him and sitting down in front of him on the floor rather than sitting down on him next to the couch like any normal person would, and she smiles up at him, even though she still has no clue what he's thinking about. She just likes being around him like this - that much is enough to make her happy. ]
So.. if you could have one wish right now, Ikki-kun, what would it be? It'll have to come true for the happy ending.
no subject
I said this was your story, why does it matter the wish of a side character? What about you? What wish would you have?
no subject
[ While that might seem like some clever way of getting him to talk all the same, she isn't even thinking like that right now. What she wants right now is to hear his wish, after all, so it's her wish right now! Makes complete sense.
... Besides, there's a girl sitting there all expectantly to hear your wish, Ikki, don't let her down. ]
no subject
You say that's your wish "right now", but that doesn't fill the requirements, does it? It should be a wish you have had for a while or that it has been hinted at before. Don't tell me you've always wanted to hear my wish.
no subject
Besides.. I've always thought it would be nice to hear that would make Ikki-kun really happy. I want to see Ikki-kun happy, after all, and if I know what makes Ikki-kun happy then maybe I could work for it.. [ even if it's something impossible for her she's Kotomi-like enough to try, after all. ]
no subject
My wish has no meaning if you don't share it, though. If you just help with it to just make me happy it's better if it goes unfulfilled.
no subject
If Ikki-kun doesn't tell me, I might never know.. And Ikki-kun will never know if I share his wish or not either.
no subject
no subject
Here. I promise I won't just agree because I want Ikki-kun to be happy.. then it's okay, right?
no subject
He looks at her face for a long moment before he moves and grabs her hand, not her pinty but her whole hand, staring at it for a moment. It looks so delicate and small compared to his own hand, so white and pure, untouched, while his is tanned and rough, with scars and marks. He's being stupid, to begin with none of those "problems" he thinks about will matter, there's no way she would accept, right? His other hand moves to one of his pockets before it joins the other, gently pressing against her hand a small box, not letting go until he's sure that she won't drop it.]
no subject
At least.. not until she feels something else against her hand, not noticing it's a box until she's grabbed it and he lets go, so she goes from staring at Ikki to staring at the box itself instead. ]
Ikki-kun, this is.. for me? [ She doesn't exactly seem to realise what exactly it is yet, though. ]
no subject
[If only it would be so easy. But he knows her, she probably won't understand unless he explains. Yet he waits until she checks the box before he speaks again.]
You asked about my wish, well, my wish now would be for you to say that you will marry me and accept that ring as a symbol of that.
[There, he said it. Now he can just deal with the rejection and everything will be fine again.]
no subject
After all, even Kotomi knows the meaning of those words. There's no way she couldn't. Marriage means staying together forever with the person you love, becoming husband and wife, even vowing to stay together 'until death do us part'..
And the one asking her is Ikki. Ikki is asking her to marry him, Ikki by whose side she's been for a while now, that kind and gentle (although many people might not agree on that, including Ikki himself) guy.. who listens to her talking and her stories no matter how much of it it might be, and she.. loves him, right? Even if it's an emotion that's difficult for her to figure out, she likes Ikki more than anyone. Even more than she liked Tomoya, the boy who forgot about her but in the end found her again, who took her from that garden which was all she knew..
But she's not out of that garden fully, not yet, not until..
Quietly she already slips the ring on her finger - even the right finger, at least she seems to know that much - as if to show her answer like that. But after a moment or two later she does speak up, smiling. ]
... My wish is to be with Ikki-kun forever. Marrying Ikki-kun.. I think something like that would be really nice.
no subject
It's... Too good to be true.]
Are you sure? Are you sure that's what you want? That you won't regret it? I can't give you much, basically nothing but myself and even that I can't give it to you fully as I'm still a Saint and I have my duties. I will never know when I have to leave or when I'll return, and even if we move near to the Sanctuary where I would be called then you would have to say goodbye to many things here.
I don't want you to be happy now and unhappy later on because of those things. Because if you say yes now, I won't let you go ever again.
[This is your last chance to put distance between you both.]
no subject
I'm really happy now, but.. even in the future, there's no way I could be unhappy as long as I know Ikki-kun is there for me.. If I would get married with Ikki-kun, that means no matter what, you would always come back and never leave forever, right..?
no subject
Of course I would come back. I would only leave your side when it was absolutely necessary to begin with and I would make sure to return, no matter what. But what if being with me like that means you have to move? To leave your friends and only see them from time to time? You don't want that, right? Even if being with me makes you happy, it's not more important than them, right?
[It's hard to tell if he is trying to convince her to say no or just making sure to calm his own doubts.]
no subject
My friends are really important, but.. it's okay to not see them for a while, too. Even if we're apart, we'll always be friends, after all. I was thinking about going to America to study there before too, so this is the same, right..? [ But this is far better than studying in America, than anything else she could have thought up for her future - to stay close to a person who loves her, and who she loves, just that much is perfect, isn't it..?
... ]
Doesn't Ikki-kun want me to be with him..?
