It was a dark and stormy night.
Or not. Maybe it was morning, and only slightly damp. Anyway, something weird is going on. . .

You know the drill!
1. Post with your character, series, and any preferences you have.
2. Others will choose a number at the Random Number Generator; their character becomes some version of that monster (click on monster names for Wikipedia links).
3. Play it out!
4. AU, modifications, any interpretations of the monsters are welcome; Any rating is also fine.

Bonus Option: Original poster rolls the dice and gets a monster for themselves as well!
1. Ghoul - A creature that consumes human flesh; often lives in cemeteries or even robs graves.

You sure look great today. Really . . . great.

2. Vampire - A creature that drinks the blood of other beings to survive.

Look at me when I'm talking to you.

3. Werewolf - Half-human, half-wolf. Modern fiction, not legend, give it's weakness as silver.

Everybody has a wild side.

4. Succubus/Incubus - Demons who visit and seduce humans at night; relations will cause poor health, even death.

It will be easier if you enjoy it.

5. Mermaid - With the head and torso of a human and the tail of a fish, mermaids enchant those near the water, particularly sailors. Distracting them can lead to all kinds of trouble. It's said that sometimes they forget humans can't breathe underwater. . . or do they?

You just looked so lonely on the shore.

6. Huldra - A extremely beautiful creature who lives in the forest and appears human, save for a tail which resembles a cow. Known to seduce humans into the forests and not let them go.

It's okay; you can go home after the wedding.

7. Nix/Nixe: Water spirits who played enchanted songs, sometimes luring humans to drown in lakes or streams. Others make fantastic promises.

Are you listening? You'd better be listening.

8. Djinn - Supernatural creatures from a parallel world. They have amazing powers, and if you trap one or beat one they can be forced to serve you.

I wish for a thousand wishes.

9. Kitsune - A demon that can take the shape of a fox, but also the shape of a human with a fox's tail. Known for being mischievous and for leading humans to do dumb things.

Tail? I don't know what you're talking about.

10. Dragon - Winged, reptilian monsters of varying sizes. Can be highly destructive, but can also be highly reclusive. Often possessive, greedy, selfish and territorial. Some have powers such as magic or the ability to breathe fire.

Hey -- I -- wait -- whoa -- is that a tail?

[ ooc: They could have bumped into each other on the street, or maybe it's a full moon in the middle of the night. Whatever you want! ]

[ He's got more than just a tail, he's just got a lot more hair than what he normally had. With a gruff voice he responds. ]

I believe it is a tail. I've got a bit of a problem you see.

Yeah, I do. What's the problem exactly? Do you need to go to a -- [ -- Looks at moon, looks at man, looks at moon, looks at man, looks at moon, looks at werewolf... ]

[ Rory places his hairy hands over his face, to cover up the more wolfish features that are even more obvious than the tail. ]

Yes way...

I have officially seen everything.

But you don't really look like a werewolf from stories. I mean, they turn into a raging monster that howls at the moon, but you just seem to have... gotten fuzzier.

Aaaand I can't believe I just said that out loud...

[ The transformation isn't exactly complete, and there's the gradual sound of clothes ripping as Rory's bone structure begins to change. He clenches his teeth at the sheer pain that comes with having his anatomy changed.

He stumbles back against a wall, where he uses a hand to help steady himself. ] It's... AH! ... not exactly... ARGH!... Okay, it's... GAH! Kind of the... OW! ... The same.

I take it back. Now I have seen everything. [ She reaches out towards him as he stumbles against the wall, but that's as close as she gets because she also doesn't want to be torn to bits. But that doesn't mean she's going to run away, either. She's completely shocked at the transformation, but she still wants to help. ]

Okay, calm down! I don't know if it's the moonlight, so maybe we can get you into the shade, or is this going to be an all nighter no matter what -- is there anything we can do?

Just keep away! There's nothing you can do to stop it!

[ Rory really doesn't want to hurt the woman, but the transformation leaves him as an unpredictable monster. His body is continues to go through the motions of the transformation, stepping back Rory lets go of the wall and he lets out a shattering scream.

He's now more animal than man, and the scream turns from a scream to a howl when the transformation is complete. ]

[ Now it's time to take a few steps back... ]

Hoooooly... [ She looks up at the wolf, weighing her options. She could escape. But even if she did, that would mean there'd be a real life werewolf on the loose all night and somebody could get hurt. Besides, it would be pretty awful for that poor guy to wake up in the morning to find out he wiped out a town or something. ]

Well, Wolf Boy, this is going to be a long night...

[ Her plan right now: keep Wolf Boy's attention on her. She's pretty sure she's fast enough not to get killed or seriously maimed. ]

[ Wolf Boy's transformation is complete, and his attention turns towards the girl in the cloak. Standing there he takes a sniff at the air, and he snarls at her.

A good idea would be to run! Wolfy continues to size her up for a potential meal, there's another snarl and he gets ready to charge! ]

[ Before Wolfy reaches her, she dives to the side and rushes behind him. Then she whistles, like she was calling a nice little puppy that wanted to play, and not a ferocious werewolf that was trying to eat her. ]

Come on, boy. Over here!

[ He's not exactly the most nimble creature out there, and he runs right past her. The whistle draws his attention to her again, he snaps his head around and he gives her a frightening snarl. Grrr! It doesn't take him much longer until he charges at her again. ]
