[ Howard comes into the apartment, arms full, and he kicks the door shut with his foot, calls out. ] Honey, I'm home.

this is going to be cute.

In the kitchen! [Trying to sort out something to make for dinner.]

[ He puts the briefcase down on the table in the hallway, the contents of which is probably dangerous knowing him, and wraps both arms around a wriggling puppy, following the sound of her voice into the kitchen. ]

[She has her back turned to the entrance of the kitchen, still sorting through the many cookbooks she has. WHY on earth does this have to be so difficult today? The puppy will certainly brighten her mood when she sees it.] Always.

[And then, she turns and spots Howard with a puppy and freezes for a moment before grinning.] Oh, my God.

[ He's nervous for a moment, but this seems to be something that people do after they've been together for a while. Well, this or decide to have children.

The puppy is a small thing, calm, but eager to be let go. ] That's a good oh my god, right? 'Cause I can take it back.

It's a very good 'oh, my god'. [Charlie abandons the cookbooks and heads over to pet the puppy.] He's adorable.

[ Howard is relieved, whether it really shows or not, because he's still not good at this relationship thing, never knows what the rules are no matter how much he tries to keep up with everything outside of work.

He holds him out to her. ] Here y'go, then, sweetheart, meet him properly.

[Charlie takes the puppy, holding him up carefully to look at him before hugging him gently.] He's adorable. Thank you so much. I've never had a dog before.

[She shifts the dog in her arms, leaning towards Howard to kiss him.] Hi. Welcome home. How was your day?

[ He's grinning, pleased that the puppy is received well. He feels bad, really, because he works so much, but at least now he knows that Charlie won't be lonely. ]

Day's been kinda slow, it's why I stopped off to pick this little 'en up and got home so early. [ He grabs a beer from the fridge. ] And what's my princess been up to?

I've been trying to figure out what to do for dinner. Annoyingly enough, I'm clueless. [She doesn't look annoyed, though. Blame the ball of fuzz trying to play with her hair.] This guy needs a name.
