The Intimacy Meme

Intimacy is the glue of any relationship, albeit romantic or friendship. It's getting to the root of humanity, and expanding upon ourselves and letting others in.

Rules:
1. Post with your character.
2. Go to rng and roll from 1-6.
3. Post to others.
4. Profit

Scenes:
1. First Kiss. Maybe you've been harboring feelings or maybe this is random. But it feels good to be that close to someone.

2. Love Confession. You have been head over heels for this person and now it's time to try and get close to them.

3. Secrets. You've been hiding yourself from someone and now it's time to stop. They need to know the real you.

4. First Time. First time you have sex is always nerve racking, but it's in these moments that you show how much you truly care about someone.

5. Shower. Perhaps you've been together for awhile. Maybe you've told each other everything. Maybe you're just dirty and need to get cleaned up. But letting the water flow between two people is still pretty intimate.

6. Post-Coital Bed. Do you feel talkative after sex? Want to ponder the meaning of life / if you guys are more than a one-night stand? Better to do it after the deed probably.. at least your partner will be in a good mood?

7. Road Trip. Good for that bonding experiance you never had! Bad diner food and weird landmarks you never knew you wanted to see! Will it bring you closer to your friend / lover?

8. Drunk. Are you the happy or sad kind? Clingy, or flighty? Maybe you just need a hug, to snuggle close.. to whoever's around at the time!

9. Winter. What could be a better time to curl up with a book, or exchange soft words in the glow of the fire? Hot chocolate time!

10. Free verse. Did I leave something out? Want to combine? Make up your own or pick from the others.

[ She had spent a long time deliberating about this; Jade still maintained that romance in Adstring was stupid, but they'd both been stuck there for over a year. She and Kida had arrived together, right? Maybe they'd leave together, too. ]

Kiiiida.

[ Oh, wait- maybe she should've called him Masaomi? Regardless, she was outside of his window (hovering outside of it, if it happens to be on the second floor or higher), rapping her knuckles against the glass. ]

Open up! I know you're home.

[At this moment? He is definitely on the second floor, and the only reason he doesn't answer her right away is because he will never, ever get used to the fact that she can now levitate. The boobs he has coped with well, but not the flying.

Lopsided smile engulfing his face, Masaomi opens the window and gives her enough space to hop in.]

Did the door jam again? [He might be teasing her.]

[ She ducks into the window, perching down onto the sill, swinging one of her legs and thumping her heel against the wall. Oh, yep, this was definitely a bad decision.

Jade flashes a smile at him, anyway. ]

Soooo. Are you busy?

I'm never too busy for Jade! [And he happily illustrates this by swiping the dime novel he'd been reading off the bed and onto the floor. He settles his rear end on the clear bed, bounces twice to make sure it's comfortable, and then motions for Jade to join him.] What's up?

[ Jade wrinkles her nose at that, visibly amused as she moves to the bed, settling next to him. ]

Oh, you know- just making a bad decision! A really terrible one, actually, probably the worst I've ever made in Adstring.

[ She seems cheerful, though. ]

Oh, oh! I'm great at these! [Masaomi is apparently just as cheerful, demonstrating with his pointer finger.] Press the green button, not the red one!

[ She leaaaans forward, expression solemn. ]

What if they're all red buttons, though??

Do any of the buttons electrocute you or someone else when you touch them?

I haven't exactly figured that part out yet.

[ She's on her feet now, moving to face him. ]

[That's not exactly promising. Guys should be on their feet in front of girls, not the other way around! He's not sure he should say anything though, because it sounds as if she's going to figure that part out right now.

He sits up a little straighter, half expecting something that he keeps telling himself would never happen.]

...Well, I guess there's only one way to find that one out.

[ She lifts her hand, as if moving to touch the side of his head- hesitates, then, before she shoves both of her hands into the pocket in the front of her hoodie. A pause. She clears her throat, starts, stops, then tries again. ]

I'm, - er!

[ Jade's ears lie flat when she falters, and then she laughs at herself. ]

Promise you won't think I'm weird or dumb, okay?

[Ryoji sneezed.

Then he turned to look back at the two pieces of wood in his hands again. Setting up a fire inside of an abandoned building? Probably a bad idea in itself, but... at least it would keep them warm. Had it actually worked, anyway. None of this was going to work. The stuff was way too wet. Ryoji could hardly feel his own fingers anymore.

He looked back to the entrance again; everything was buried by a wall of snow and ice that was pretty much impossible to get rid of with bare hands. All of the windows, too.

... Okay, who thought that going out on an 'adventure' with a blizzard outside was a good idea again? It would be less stupid if they actually took their PCDs with them. At least then they could call someone for help.]

[Adventures have always been Masaomi's specialty. Ryoji should be glad that the restless blond hadn't hauled him out at two in the morning. Being cooped up inside alone has been steadily wearing at his endurance since the storm began days ago. Without Jinx around to wisecrack at him, he held out as long as he could, and when he could no more, Ryoji was his victim of choice.

Maybe he should start tacking a disclaimer onto all of his "brilliant ideas."]

[The instigator extraordinaire peeks into the room from an adjacent hallway, an old blanket draped over one of his shoulders. He at least has the tact to look mostly abashed when he doesn't see a fire.]

Duo's hiccup seemed to echo around him as he stumbled slightly through the streets of Adstring. He lost track of just how much he had had to drink that night, and apparently thought it a good idea to get some fresh out. In the cold.

Without his coat.

Nevertheless, he pressed onward, until he saw a blurry, yet familiar face.

"Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Wow. That sure was Duo drunk off his rocker.

Masaomi couldn't help but stare at first, head turned to keep a close eye on the guy. Apparently Duo had gotten an early start on him and Ryoji this time around. It wasn't until Duo got close enough to notice him that Masaomi realized he wasn't dressed for the recent weather. Instinctively, the blond pulled his coat tighter around himself.

"Duuuuooooooooooooooo," he mirrored with a wry smile, turning to face the other boy completely. "Who spiked the punch?"

Punch? Pfft, that would be just child's play after what Duo'd been drinking. And he managed to say as much, if perhaps a bit slurred.

"Punch. Ya kiddin'?! Tha's...Tha's jus' kiddy stuff!" He laughed and nudged Kida with his shoulder. And by nudge, it was more like a nice stumble into the guy. Sorry man, this guy is trashed. "Ru...man, y'know Ru? He lef' some sssstuff at mah place and it was gooooooood, man. Vodka things, guy. Ya had it?"

He winked up at Kida, still kind of leaning against his friend, the walking talking heatsource.

Masaomi was usually the nudger, and Duo's first near collapse almost lost both of them their balance. Once he got a grip on the guy's shoulder though, he had to chuckle. Man, was this what it was like from the other side?

"Maybe I should try it," he shook his head with a grin. "If you call him Kanga-Ru at least once for me."

With a drunken giggle, Duo wrapped an arm around Kida's middle, more or less for support than anything else. He managed to straighten some, though he still leaned against Kida. "Kanga-Ru! He hops 'roun'n roun'! Even has a pouch!" Another drunken giggle followed by, "I Kid-a. I Kid-a." He waved his free hand around in a loose, but dismissive manner before smirking up at his friend.

From one shoulder, Masaomi's hand snaked behind Duo's neck to his far shoulder, and with Duo's arm already wrapped around his middle, he began not-so-discreetly leading his friend toward Jinx's place.

"He might wanna get that checked," Masaomi teased. "You, on the other hand, need to work on your puns!"

"Aww, tha' wassss a goodun! Y'know it was!" With his free hand, Duo reaches up to pat Kida's hand on his shoulder. He giggles once more as they continue down the street.

"Yer sush...a good bro, man."

"It doesn't work at all! I'm Keeda! Not Kidda! That's you. A really bad kidda."

Clearly, Masaomi had no room to talk.

"You better butter me up, man. Keep going and I might not give you the fluffy pink nighties."

"Butter? Ya wan' butter? I ain't too sure we got any o' tha'." He stops a moment, wavering slightly on his feet before he starts giggling again. "We c'n look for some if'n ya wan' it tha' bad." Another hiccup and he's sent into another giggling fit.

Duo giggling got Masaomi going, and he chuckled, steering Duo around a corner. He wasn't laughing so much because the guy was funny (oh man, Masaomi would need to be about as drunk as Duo was for that to happen), but rather because Duo literally buttering him up was too ridiculous not to laugh. If he didn't poke fun at it, he might actually start imagining it.

"If you can spell butter right now, you can have mine."

Duo blinked up at Kida, somewhat confused. "Shpellit, huh? Uh..." He stops and thinks a second. "Be...you..." Again, he stops. "Tur!"
